“Convenient and comfortable”
Just along from Central district with a tram stop right outside the door so easy to get to. It is very clean and I got an upgrade to a suite which was very nice. Good sized room and bathroom. Shower was a bit small so not good for anyone of a larger size but it was fine for me. Only criticism was that at times there was a smell of smoking coming through the air conditioning. Not drastic. I just switched it off for a while. Overall I would be happy to back and to recommend.
“Very nice and affordable hotel”
At first, there was an issue with my reservation, for some reason my reservation has been cancelled. However, after discussing the issue with the Hotel Manager, the staff was able to solve my issue and I was even upgraded to a Suite! The hotel is very nice, very clean, my Suite was very spacious (very rare in Hong Kong) and the hotel counts with 2 restaurants, bar and fitness center. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Hongkong Hotel”
It was very good experince
“No complaints from me. Couldn't fault it. Got a great rate on expedia..”
Very nice hotel in every way. I think it is only rated 3 star but it feels much , much better than that. My only comments are: small charge to use wireless internet in your room and that is per session. I think the choices started at half , then 1, 2 or 3 hours. However they had a business centre available where you could use one of their, three available computers (half hour sessions if people waiting). My only other minor observation was the shower cubicle in my room was very small. The actual room itself was a generous size, especially for Hong Kong standards, however the shower was a round cylinder which I'm sure a big person would find very difficult and uncomfortable to use. Apart from that, very clean and super comfortable room. Would love to get hotels of that standard at that price more often! I'm pretty sure it was the A10 and the A12 airport buses that have a stop only a few blocks away. The A10 is only $HK40 from the airport!
“Great accomodations for a fair price.”
My travel plans changed last minute and I didn't anticipate staying in Hong Kong for a few days. I was able to book a room at the Ramada the day I arrived and I used the internet at the airport to nook. The hotel was easy to find, was clean, had friendly staff and overall comfortable. I found the business centre really helpful. Great place to stay at a lower price than most hotels in Hong Kong.
“nice stay with it”
it's good for traveller, easy to take street car, tax, A12(airport suttle).
“Not empressed”
Sorry for us.. Just messed up our vacation
“So-so ...”
Got upgraded - which is nice; beds were too firm for my liking. Good location for what I paid - tram is directly outside that will take you to the heart of HK.
“Good place to sleep but not much else!”
The hotel was clean and comfortable but a little out of the way. The surrounding area is very urban/industrial with little in the way of 'quality' dinning venues nearby. Unfortunately the resturant in the Hotel was closed for renovations which only highlighted the limited dinning options in the area. Despite the location I never felt unsafe. Whilst the Hotel staff were polite, the concierge team lacked any real knowledge and were of no use when it came to asking about the best way to get too and from the hotel by public transport. I relied heavily on the bus service as the MTR was a good 25 -30 min walk away. Unfortunately I recieved conflicting information regading which bus to catch back to the hotel, so I found the best way to get back from Central MTR was by taxi (HK$25 -30) which quick and a safer option. I did find that by showing the driver the address on the back of my room key they knew where to go. Perhaps the Ramada could put together a simple 'Travelling too and from the Ramada on public transport' leaflet to assist their customers. Apart from these minor distractions my overall stay at the Ramada was fine - rooms were clean, linen fresh and there was always a good breakfast offered to start the day. However please be warned that the rooms are quite compact and the beds rather short - I'm only 5'11" and my feet hung off the end of the mattress - also the towels have seen better days - extremely worn.
“Hong Kong Rocks!!!”
Ramada Hong Kong is very well run, clean, affordable and convenient to all the amenaties the city has to offer. Train, buses, tram all very close by and never any problem getting a ride or a taxi. Many restuarants within easy walking distance. My second stay at this very nice hotel.

Western District, Hong Kong: Get a feel for the Hong Kong of old. Start at the Chinese Central Market (the tender-hearted should avoid the lower floors, where poultry butchering takes place) on the corner of Queen Victoria Street and meander down narrow laneways where herbalists and other traditional shopkeepers display their wares. Dont miss the worlds longest outdoor escalator, at 880 meters, which also provides sweeping district views.
