“Bigger than expected room”
I was given a free upgrade to a family with my 2 rooms booking. When I entered the room, the room was much bigger than expected, from my previous visit to Hong Kong. I have a Kig size bed in 1 room and 2 single beds in the other. There are still space for 2 extra beds and a living room with a kitchen. Really value for money. Will recommend to use this hotel if you dun mind the location is slightly further away from the city centre.
“Price is ok”
The price of the hotel is average for the location at Tsuan Wan. Atthough it is away from the center of Hong Kong, the subway is close by.
“Not very impressed”
Have stayed at this hotel before. The only reason to stay again is to be near wherer I need to do business. The service and room was just not too impressive. The room has no outlet to receive US type plug, which is rare in today's hotels hosting international guests. No complimentary bottled water is offered like in other cities. You either buy bottled water from the street or pay HK$60 for a bottle in room.
“Good value, busy hotel but out of town a little”
This was the best value hotel we could find in Hong Kong for an overnight stay. It is large and very busy. But I found the staff very pleasant and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. No complaints would stay there again if I needed to.
“Does the trick”
Went to HK to visit for a few weeks. It did the trick. Had a pool for the kids. The price was very reasonable.
“Quirky hotel”
I stayed at the Panda Hotel for 3 days and 2 night at the beginning of July. My fiance and I got upgraded to an executive suite on arrival which was nice. I expected the room to be bigger considering it was an executive suite, but after 2 days in HK I realised that by HK standards it was a very big. The room was comfy and air-conditioned and the hotel was generally very nice. Service was good, I didn't feel that the staff went out of their way to be helpful but they weren't unhelpful either. Location was alright, though it does take awhile to get to the city centre so you do need to plan your journeys if you have time commitments. Hotel was about a 10min walk from the MTR station and there were some really nice shops on the way to the station including bakeries and noodles shops. Would recommend this hotel if you don't mind being a little out of the way and have a thing for Pandas.
“A feasible alternative to TST area”
If you are arriving at HK airport, take the "airport express" train to Tsing-Yi station (60 HKD) and then a taxi (about 45-50 HKD) just telling the hotel name - almost all drivers know its location. Truly easy. Although the location of the hotel is quite far from Mongkok, Kowloon, TST and HK central area, the subway station is in a short walk distance, leading you to almost anywhere. Another way to go or come back from downtown is taking the hotel's bus service (ask the concierge). For those who don't have time to go around, in the basement of the hotel's building there's a very convinient mall providing many restaurants of many types, fast food, convinience store, shops and also an entertaining area for the youth (gaming). If you are tired and seeking for a good relaxing massage, you can find it very close to the hotel (ask for directions to the concierge guys) - although the overal conditions and maintenance of the place are not attractive at all (and I do really mean it), the service is really good, seriously. For sure, I will get back to this hotel in my next trip to HK.
