“Great location”

Great location, Nice Rooms with cooking facilities,fridge,stove,microwave. The people there were very helpful.

Area recommendations

Hong Kong is so big its hard to see it in a few days. This hotel was ideally located ,easy to walk about.Lots of shopping. The weather was great this time of year ,mid Oct.

Getting there

Take the airport express train to Hong kong station and then a taxi to the hotel. The taxi cost about 10 US dollar(s 80 HKdollars)

“Nice hotel in Causeway Bay”

I've stayed in the Park Lane hotel in Causeway Bay a few times, but this time I decided to try something different. The hotel is close to Causeway Bay MRT station, and all of the shopping centers in the area. The service at the front desk is excellent, you sit down while you do the check in formatilities which is nice after a long trip. The rooms are well appointed, with a kitchenette, and water, juice and some biscuits (cookies for our American friends). The bathroom in our room was see through which I though was great (my wife didn't agree). The bed was very comfortable, but there were slatted shades in the room which didn't do a great job of stopping the light, and I tend to wake up when it's light. Although our friends in another room, said they had curtains and that it blocked the light well.

Area recommendations

All the shopping in Causeway Bay, and I can't go past Lang Kwai Fong and Wan Chai for drinks.

“An ideal place to break the trip from London to Tasmania”

As we've aged and can no longer face the long haul from London to Tasmania we stay somewhere for a few days along the way. Our decision to stay at the Lanson Place proved to be a master stroke for this purpose. The plethora of hotel offerings in hotels available in Hong Kong on the web made the task seem impossible at first but the Lanson Place seemed to meet our needs. It"s in Causeway Bay very close to all public transport. It looked neat, clean and affordable in the Hong Kong context. Taking the usual deep breath when booking into an unknown city I booked for three days. It proved to be a wise decision. From arrival to departure everything we needed was provided. The staff were wonderful, without exception. Every little query was promptly and accurately responded to. We were offered an upgrade to an executive package on arrival which included breakfast, which wasn't included on my original booking, unlimited wifi and most importantly a 4pm checkout. For those leaving on an evening plane this is a great bonus. Effectively this extended our booking to four days, which I'll do next time we stay there. Which we will. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant as such but breakfasts were fine and located in the lounge. As for other dining the area close to the hotel has many places to eat great food and we used them well. For travellers wanting pampering but being close to the street life of Hong Kong this is an ideal place to stay.

Area recommendations

We loved the area area around Causeway Bay as it is close to all forms of transport ranging from the wonderful, rattly, double-decker trams to the buses, underground and seemingly endless supply of taxis. There's good shopping, restaurants and plenty of the street action of this vibrant city.

“very impressed”

We found the Lanson Place Hotel an oasis of calm and luxury among the teeming streets of Hong Kong. The Hotel provided excellent service at a reasonable price.

Dining

We ate at the Goldfinch Cafe in Causeway Bay, based on a mention in the Lonely Planet guide. The meal was the worst meal we had in three weeks of touring around China and Hong Kong. I would not recommend it to anyone.

“Awesome Service! Highly impressed!”

My first impression was how the concierge ran to open doors and helped with the luggages. Overal, the environment is very comfortableand all the staff provide top notch services! Will definitely stay in this hotel when I am back in Hong Kong!

“Lanson Place”

Although this looks like a hotel with mainly business clientele, it proved to be a good choice for our recreational stay. The location is excellent, the rooms outstanding, and the staff was superb. They were attentive, but not in the way, and eager to answer any and all of our questions. I would definitely return to stay here.

“Convenient Location”

The hotel is well located within walking distance to the heart of Causeway Bay's eating, shopping centers; such as Lee Garden, Time Square, WTC shopping malls etc. Happy Valley race course is also close by, however, if you intend to go to the races, please check the racing program as the races are infrequent (not every week). The superior room is spacious with kitchenette, however, lacking of chairs and a table for dining. Staff are very pleasant and cheerful.

“Will try again!”

My room was not ready upon check in, i left my luggage with the doorman, had to go get it myself once room was ready. This stay, they also added payed extras, such as breakfast and internet. Service should get better with familiarity not indifferent. This was my favourite boutique hotel in Causeway Bay. I will give another try before I write them off.
