“Good Central location”
Close to Central, mid levels, Soho, markets, MTR, escalators.... Friendly, open all hours...
“Great Location,but that's it!”
really great location, cool area to explore but rooms way smaller than they appeared to be on Expedia and no Kingsize beds- very average all up and not such a boutique experience
“Small rooms, great location”
The hotel is in a great location (close to the MTA and antiques area), the service was good, but the rooms were rather small. The only major issue, though, was that the kettle's cord was too short ot reach any of the powerpoints.
“Best loction hotel in HK”
Perfect location and neighborhood, mix of new and old HK shops and restaurants, very close to subways station. Room is clean and comfortable but bathroom is extremely small and toilet paper was a bit rough. The view from room was magnificent (31st floor). Wifi is a supplement, pretty standard, but still upsetting in view of the room price.
“Very dissapointed”
I thought I was booking Hotel LKF on Wyndam st which I have stayed at several times and is a fantastic hotel. This place couldn't be more different...don't make the same mistake.
“My worst stay in Hong Kong”
Location: First of all I would like to beware everyone: Lan Kwai Fong hotel does not have anything to do with Lan Kwai Fong area (party area) in Hong Kong. The hotel is located in slums of Hong Kong. Access: Access to the hotel is extremely inconvenient: it's located on a one-way-street that is only accessible trough a labyrinth of other one-way streets, so even if you are quite close to the hotel - you grab a cab and go for a 30 minutes ride trough all the slams of HK. Check-In Tiny reception right at the door. 2 ppl of staff handling concierge and check in duties and a crowd of around 20 guests in line. Room Very used and very tiny. And by tiny I mean "Tokyo tiny" Room cleaning I consider myself a generous person, so I always leave some $$ on the pillow for the cleaning staff. Despite that I had a used napkin lying around on the floor for 3 days straight until I called in house keeping and asked to clean my room properly. Hotel facilities Gym - extremely small Restaurants - cafe on 4'th floor okay Business centre - 3* Conference room - forget it Rates After I realized that I've booked a wrong hotel (I intended to book LKF hotel) and looking at rates I've realized that it's a total rip-off. Same rate as in Grand Hyatt or Shangri-La for an extremely low profile hotel. I do NOT recommend to stay in this property.
“great location at the right price”
GREAT LOCATION
“Great position and would book again.”
Hotel is in a great central position. Room was small but bed very comfortable and bathroom clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel breakfast was average but there are lots of places to eat nearby.
“Great location in the heart of Hong Kong night life”
The location couldn't be better to hang out at night in Lan Kwai Fong or SOHO. Also just down the street from Hollywood Road and the antique and art galleries. We bought antiques during the day and partied at night! The room was very nice with city and harbour views. Nice, cool decoration, Comfortable bed. I only downgraded the rating for maintenance and cleanliness becasue the door handle fell off the bathroom door and the maid forgot to replace the used fork from the fruit bowl (that was complimentary) one day ... but those are minor things. Basically very clean, which is important. The rain shower head is for midgets (I'm 192 cm, so it could work for others). The service wasn't the usual gushing Asian service I've come to expect from staying at top business hotels all over Asia, but it was nice to be in a boutque hotel that didn't remind me of business and the service efficient and not unfriendly. I'm back there my next long weekend in HK.
“Lan Kwai Fong”
Located in the heart of Hong Kong's night scene it is perfec for both business and pleasure. Not too far from the subway and shopping malls but lots of great bars and restaurants. Kind of boutique hotel and a little too expensive.
