“Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees”

Excellent hotel despite being a little far from TST Nathan Road. The hotel has complimentary hourly shuttle bus service to Nathan Rd (Peninsula Hotel vesinity) which is excellent. Great breakfast, very nice rooms, comfortable beds and very clean. Will stay again.

“Great stay in HK”

Overall, the hotel was great - exceptional service and good size room for HK standards. It's very clean and the amenities are fantastic. The restaurant's buffet is also out of this world. The only issue with the hotel is its location, but they more than make up for it with a free shuttle service to the major areas (Hong Hum, Tsim Sha Tsui and Kowloon stations) every 20 min all day. If you want to experience the real Kowloon, however, it's a great place to stay. You'll get to see how people live and not just what rich tourists see. If I get back to HK, I'll be staying at 8 degrees. PS - if you catch a cab, just say "Hotel 8". The cabbie will know where to go.

Area recommendations
I would stay at this hotel primarily. If not interested, definitely say somewhere on HK Island. Soho is a trendy spot, but expect small rooms.

“Not impressed”

Nothing near the Hotel. Rug in room was very dirty. Every day I took my socks off and every day there was hair on the socks from previous guests. Very Cheap on the soap, Size of a .50 cent coin, and was not replaced everyday. Gym? a room size the size of a shoe box. Only cardio machines and dumb bells crammed into a room size of a guest room. Constant internet connection problems. Resturant food is average at best.

Area recommendations
anywhere near mtr station, since the whole city is accessable and fast to get to.

“Harbour Plaza 8 degrees 21-9-11”

A very good hotel. The service in the pool bar was a little clow, but otherwise this hotel was excellent in terms of room quality and value for money. I will definitely stay there again.

“Not Quite the Bang for the Buck”

"Not bad" sums up the whole experience. Location: not bad. A bit far from "downtown" Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, but free bus helps compensate considerably. There is little nearby the hotel which is interesting or worthwhile to look at. Room: not bad. Average size and decor. Clean and comfortable but not luxurious.

“Will be my place to stay for now on!”

The Hotel was a great quality hotel and the price was amazing for how nice the hotel was. The workers are all very kind and extremely helpful. The room was beautiful, clean, and modern! I have to travel to Hong Kong Once a year and this will be the place i go back to! Located in Kawloon but easy to get to all major areas! The Buffet was amazing and if you can upgrade to the executive floor I would strongly recommend you do! The service is well worth it! This hotel is a great place!

“STAY HERE! Awesome hotel.”

The staff were fantastic. Very helpful. Took our bags up to the room, organised our travel the airport the next day, there was even a letter from the manager welcoming us to the hotel. The room was so clean and beautiful with a great view of the city. The resturant in the hotel makes great food and has a buffett which was packed when we went, so we had room service. Super fast, cheap and so yummy. I really would recommend this hotel, they really are there to help you. You won't regret a stay here.

“You get what you pay for!”

The room is small, but clean. The hotel is new so the common areas and the rooms are clean and well kept. However, the room is small even by HK standards and the area around the hotel is very inconvenient. Even the second floor bar was extremely small with just 4 tables total. Overall, it was a very claustrophobic experience. You can find roomier hotels in better areas for not much more money. I will look elsewhere next time.

“Satisfied Traveller”

The hotel is very clean, decent size room for a couple. The Concierge is very helpful, polite & courteous. They gave us direction to places in Hongkong. Overall of the hotel, price is reasonable great for couple travelling with a low budget.

Ask the hotel concierge on travelling around Hongkong. They are very helpful. We were really at lost as to where to go & sight see if not for that helpful Concierge. We are really satisfied at our stay in Hongkong.
