“Way too small”

I have stayed in many hotels, chose this one based on price and reviews. If you have any luggage you are out of luck, it either goes on the bed or blocks your entrance to the bathroom. So small you have to go into the hall to change your mind. It was, however, clean. Not the best neighbourhood, but not a terrible to get around.

“Would go back net time”

The reception service was good & responsive. But the hot water of the shower was unpredictable which ran hot & cold. This could be a big problem in winter time. The shower is not on mains pressure so you can't use it in a hand-held situation where the water would reduce to trickling. The luggage room is limited as typical of a budget hotel. The selection of TV channels is only limited to the 2 Chinese & 2 English channels of the local network. That's how I missed the World Cup live telecast. If you only want a clean room to have shower & sleep, this is the place. Overall speaking, for the price & location, it's quite good value.

“Not impressed”

The room was tiny. There was no space to put my bag. Each time, I had to leave the room, I had to put my bag on the bed so that I can open the door. At night, I could hear people talking in the hallway. A buffet breakfast was supposed to be included but the breakfast in question was a continental type. Only one member of the staff spoke English. The only person in the breakfast room/cafeteria of the hotel insisted on speaking Chinese to me all the time although it is clear and obvious that I don't speak a word of Chinese. The bathroom was also tiny. There was no partition between the shower part of the bathroom and the other parts of the bathroom. After taking a shower, the toilet paper, toilet bowl and other parts of the bathroom were thoroughly wet.

“Great location”

I'm not a fusy person but I have to give the cons: the hotel can be hard to find for first timers and the location "looks" pretty seedy (Is very safe) The hotel lobby is very small and the room was very small with no real room for your bags, Then we make our way to the breakfast don't even worry about it, you are better off eatting out believe the review about the breakfast. Pros: It is cheap and the location is very good, about 3-4 blocks from the ladys markets, the temple st markets about 3 blocks,Park N shop (Supermarket) and MacDonalds are next to each other about 4 blocks away. Also the staff are friendly :) Overall I do recommend it if your on a budget

“You get what you pay for...”

This is a small and clean hotel. It tooks us a while to find it because it is on a small street. Location is very convenient. Three block from Mongkok train station, exit C and 5 blocks away from Ladies Market with many coffee shops and restaurants. A fantastic healthy breakfast was included on the price. The bus from the airport did not know the Hotel but they dropped us to the nearest big hotel and the Hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance. Rooms and bathrooms are tiny compared to other Hotels, but since we were on vacation and always out ,just need a comfy and clean place to take a shower and sleep. I will go back again. Location, location and location...

“You get what you pay for, but clean at least”

The initial room we got was really small - on the 7th floor. On the second night our shower hot water service stopped working, so we got transferred to another room on the second floor... and oh my gosh the difference! The bed was huge (worked out well as we were travelling with our 3 yr old) and much roomier than the first. The staff have always been helpful, and even helped us with translating instructions to the Chinese laundry next door (very cheap). The breakfast was nothing special but enough to get you going, and the lady there has been very nice to my son, even though not a word of English. Location was great, so close to the shops in Mongkok. Be prepared to see aptly priced working girls around street corners though, and you are surrounded by hardware stores as well. Temple Street and Tun Choi are just around the corner and so is the infamous Nathan Rd. Festival Walk and Sham Shui Po are only a couple of MTR stations away. Will certainly stay there again if it were just me and hubby, but with our little boy and another one on the way I'm not sure we will fit. Good place for the price range.

Area recommendations
If you like shopping, Mongkok is the place for you. While you're at it, take advantage of the many foot masseurs along the streets.
