“Enjoyed it”

The hotel was excellent. Very clean. Very friendly staff. I received an upgrade to a 2 room suite. The hotel has great harbour views. Wonderful Tavern across the courtyard. Good for evening meals. Live entertainment and happy hour.

“Very Good!!”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The views are beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful. The club level ammenities are very good. The services at the club level are hard to beat. We are in HK several times a year and will definately go back.

“The best harbour view.”

The staff were very helpful and polite. We ordered a room with a king size bed and were confronted with two singles upon arrival, but were immediately upgraded to a harbour view suite. It was spacious and the view was tremendous. Even though the location is away from the shopping centres the free shuttle service is efficient at half hourly intervals, and the city noise is non existent at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Area recommendations

Ride the Central to Mid level escalator in the city. The sights in between the buildings are great.

Getting around

Purchase a octopus card at the MTR stations and use the subway to travel around the city. Try to avoid peak hours as it is very busy. The cards can be used on the ferries and for other purchases and cashed in when you leave.

Must see

Travel up to the Peak and view the city lights from the top in the evening.

“Lovely hotel”

“Beautiful ocean view from the room”

This is beautiful hotel with good service and ocean view. (make sure you choose ocean side room). The hotel have good restuarant and bar. The only thing I don't is the location. If you to go out shopping you either take taxi or hotel bus, they don' t have near by MTR station.

“This is Good.”

This hotel room is big and clean. But, There are non-smoking room. So, I moved smoking room, but That was not good. small & smell & old Look's like almost same, but totally different both room. If you choice this hotel, must ask big room. This hotel has very gooooood view pool, but open until 10pm. But you must go that pool. You can see hong kong is it.

“Nice Hotel, staff could use some training”

Nice room, clean, good harbour view although not 'straight on' to the main central area of HK Island. Rooftop pool good and great views. Sat and drank Vintage Moet watching the sunset and the light show commence. We booked a club room, with the expectation of spending most of our two nights/days lazing around the hotel and enjoying the views. The check in was painless but clinical. The club facilities were limited in comparison with many other clubs that we have used. Alcohol is literally hidden away, and only available at night, when you need to ask for anything other than a red or white wine. They do hide the beers in a cupboard fridge below the wine shelf, so ferret them out. Must ask for mixed drinks and they will provide. The snacks/canapes etc were of variable quality. Breakfast was good without being outstanding. Appears the food comes up from ground and is heated in the club, so variable on the temperature. Overall, a nice hotel in reasonable location. Got the limousine each way to airport and not bad value. 1150 HKD = 140 Aus dollars for top end Mercedes. Generally found the staff to be lacking in service skills and the finer points of how to make a guest feel welcome. Would we stay again? Yes if the room was on special. Otherwise, we would certainly look to try somewhere else. Service, or a partial lack thereof is our only real complaint.

Area recommendations

Mongkok for markets and local shopping. The Peak and peak tram although local bus is much cheaper and is a good trip. Ferrys are great. If you want afternoon tea at the Peninsula, get there early. (starts at 2.00 p.m.) be there by 1.00 and take a table, buy a drink or two. Otherwise be prepared to line up for 1-2 hours. Market streets in Wanchai are great again for local colour and madness. Take the tram to anywhere in Wanchai and wander zigzag through all the side streets.

“Fabulous view”

We stayed two nights at Harbour Grand Kowloon - the rooms were great with fabulous views of the harbour, huge bath and very comfortabale beds. Probably taking the Harbour Club option would have been good as it included breakfast etc. Staff were very helpful, offered a 2pm checkout and use after that of showers in fitness centre and use of pool etc as we had a late flight home. Shuttle to shopping area v handy, and view from pool amazing. all in all v good value for HK.
