“Excellent hotel”

EAST hotel is great hotel located easily on the Island Line MTR stop of Tai Koo. The hotel entrance is right outside exit D2 which makes this hotel a joy for commuting. It is located east of Central so expect to take around 10-15 mins on the MTR to get there but it is worth it compared to paying a lot more for poorer quality hotels. EAST hotel is clean, very modern and located right next to the City Plaza shopping centre where there is a variety of food court establishments, a cinema and lots of shops to enjoy. The room is comfortable, has what you need when visiting, i.e, a comfy bed, a great shower and a nice big TV. TV has various inputs so you can connect your iPad or laptop to it to use. The gym is great, doesn't get too busy and has a variety of the latest running/cardio/weight machines, some of which have TV and iPod connectivity on them and there is also a lovely heated swimming pool. You also get a towel and a bottle of water when you visit. The Feast restaurant is pretty good, but the prices do cater for business users. Food there is great, but if you want a cheaper breakfast, just head over to City Plaza or walk around Tai Koo and you will find other places. Overall I cannot fault EAST for it's comfort and hospitality. Had a pleasant stay and will come back again.

“Good hotel at a convenient location”

We had a warm welcome when we checked in at around 12:20 pm. They kept our luggage as our room will not be ready until 2:30pm at the earliest. The room was clean and modern but the bed is a bit too soft for us. The staff dressed casually but are courteous and knowledgeable. While the choice of TV channels are good, we wish there will be some local news channel and more Chinese inland channels. Our major complaint is the mattress is smaller than the bed and my wife keep running into the solid timber corner. That is just below the knee. She ended up with a pretty nasty bruise. This is a major design fault and the management should rectify this before someone get seriously hurt. The hotel is at a very convenient location, right next to TaiKooShing shopping centre. There is plenty to shop and eat. Overall this is a good hotel to stay.

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and I can't wait to return. Had a very comfy stay.

The only thing i did not like too much is the location. If you come from China, like I was, it takes a long time to get to the hotel via MTR. Besides that, great view, great clean rooms and comfortable beds and linens.

“Impressive...”

We started our stay in Hong Kong at the Peninsula for business but then moved to East Hong Kong since we wanted to extend our stay over the weekend. We can not have been more impressed. It seems to be brand new, right next to Tai Koo metro station with direct access to Central and adjacent to a large and new shopping complex with a great food court. Everything about the hotel had a very contemporary feel with very modern and stylish rooms, friendly and youthful staff. We were upgraded to a harbour view room and spent our first ten minutes discovering the hidden details in the room. We did not try the bar at the top floor which a lot of non-guests seemed to be heading to nor the gym but the large breakfast lounge on the mezzanine floor with windows overlooking the surrounding area had a great buffet and fine service. Highly recommended.

“EAST hotel review for business travel”

This hotel provides excellent service and is geared toward business travelers. The location is nice if you are looking for convenience to the MTR -- and what I really liked about it, is that there is a fantastic nature walk trail that goes up Mt. Parker round all the way to Tam Tai Reservoir. It's one of the few places in the city that has excellent access to both the nature trail and the harbor if you are into jogging or walking. The athletic facility at the hotel is good enough -- with adequate equipment. The bar on the top of the hotel has a fantastic view of the city/harbor, and is a nice relaxing place for a drink. I was very impressed with the effort of the staff to make the stay comfortable. For those that work in Kowloon, the cab ride will be more expensive since it's typically an additional 25 HK due to the toll and bridge fees...I would stay here again.

“EXCELLENT!”

This hotel is beautifully designed in a modern style. New and extremely clean. It is located right off the subway station so getting to it is very easy. The view from our corner harbor view room was the best of my whole trip to China. I definitely will stay there again when in Hong Kong. The only thing I felt could be improved would be if they added a jacuzzi, sauna or steam room to their fitness area and keep the pool open past 9 pm. Overall though it was an exemplary hotel experience!

“Good size room, good location”

The hotel is located just next to MTR, very good location. The room size is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
