“Nice room but pricey for what you get”

Enjoyed the room and good location for taking the bus to the airport. Few amenities in the hotel but the hotel is clean and well appointed. Can easily catch a tram to more central locations and attractions.

Area recommendations

Recommend Central or Kowloon. If you are a cab person this hotel is fine but if you want to take public transport it is a little more difficult--no subway but a good tram connection.

Hong Kong is an incredible city, and great to walk around in, except for the major waterfront reconstruction which encompasses nearly a mile of the downtown waterfront. When done in two years, it will be awesome, much like the Kowloon side.

Getting around

Taxis are very cheap, and most of the drivers speak enough English to get you where you need to go. But the best way to get around is by bus. Amazingly inexpensive and they go all over the city.

“Impressed!!”

This hotel is very brand new and everything was clean and comfortable. Harbor view was fantastic!! The surrounding area was a little bit dirty and away from the Central. Despite the subway(MTR) station was away from the hotel, it was very convenient to use tram and bus. You can go everywhere by tram and bus. I prefered bus and tram to subway. Compare to the price, I was very satisfied with everything of the hotel. Highly recommend. Go back there soon!!

“Get away from the local tourist hang outs”

What a gem! We were so pleased with the service and the overall experience. It was located a little away from the tourist area and that gave us a chance to really interact with the locals. The hotel was lovely and the restaurant had excellent food at a good price for Hong Kong. We did stay at another hotel in Hong Kong so were able to easily compare. We highly recommend!!

We liked the area around the Hong Kong Marriott. However if you want to be by other tourists you may not feel as comfortable.

“Very impressed with the hotel staff and service”

We had a great time in Hong Kong. We were very impressed with the hotel staff as they were very professional, friendly, courteous and attentive - the quality of the service and food at the hotel was fantastic. We would stay there again should we go to Hong Kong in the future.

Area recommendations

Victoria Peak is a great place to visit with the fantastic views. It was quite an experience in the cable cars to the peak station. We find shopping is best at the City Plaza-a lot more varieties to choose from.

“Would stay again”

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel restuarant was good, as was room service. The room was clean and spacious. I've come to expect a hard bed in HK compared to what I am use to in the US. But everything else was very delightful. I would recommend this hotel above several others that I know of in HK.

Area recommendations

The hotel is in Sheung Wan a very nice area, up & coming as a realtor might say. It is near Kennedy Town, a more residential area of HK. Transportation is close to the hotel.

“Hotel, great, location a little out of the way, but excellent value”

Hotel relevatively new, nice & clean and the staff were excellent. The location of the hotel was a little out of the way but, as others have said, I felt perfectly safe walking around. Plus trams, buses and taxis all made getting around very easy. Cost reflected the location, a little out of the way from the main areas, but value wise excellent.

“Adequate Hotel”

I stayed at the courtyard for 3 nights and i do stay at lots of hotels in Hong Kong. The size of rooms are compact. good for one person. The fitout is good and the bed excellent. I was given a room with a fantastic view across to Kowloon. Internet costs extra and so does breakfast. But the room rate is very good. The staff are extremely friendly and well trained. Big assett for me, you can buy a takeaway latte and muffin in the foyer and eat it in your room. Also next door are lots of 7 elevens and fruit stalls. Only negatives, no bar and none nearby. Long walk to mtr. 20 minutes but if you are prepared to use buses they are on the doorstep. There are no good restaurants nearby [ the hotel restaurant is enclosed and boring]. But a cheap taxi fare and you are in Central in 5 minutes or so. In summary for a business hotel at a good rate for good 4 star standard its a deal.

Area recommendations

Central on Hong Kong Island. Its exciting, great retail, good restaurants and bars and its easy to get anywhere on the mtr, ferry or using buses or taxis.

Outdoors or beach

A short trip across Hong Kong island on the double decker bus to Stanley is worthwhile. Not for shopping at the market but just to see the views and then the beach and restaurants at Stanley. A good thing to do for lunch on Sunday.
