“A good place to stay”
I spent four nights at this hotel which is 2 minutes walk from Fortress Hill MTR station and 5 stops (10 minutes) from Central. My room on the 7th floor out of 25 floors was fine, it had a good en suite with excellent power shower. The view wasn't terribly exciting - a series of apartment towers blocks. I tried out the main restaurant and the Satay Inn; both were fine with good menus and not too pricey by hotel standards. On checking in I received a cash discount voucher to be used in the restaurant. There are plenty of local eating places nearby for oriental fast food or a more relaxed meal. Buses and trams operate within 200 metres from the hotel lobby. Overall good value and the standard was much as I had hoped it would be.
“Good Quality Hotel”
This is my second visit to the City Garden and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The room was kept spotless. Towels were changed every day. However I was a bit disappointed with the hot food breakfast in the dining room. Depending on the time of the day the food was quite cold.
“The City Garden Hotel Was Fantastic”
The City Garden Hotel was absolutely fantastic in everyway. The reception staff were great and helpful. I was in a Signature room with free breakfast and the use of the executive lounge,which provided drink and food at different times. This was a big Plus to have this wonderful privilage at hand everyday.The staff in the Executive lounge were wonderful and they always greeted you with a very welcoming smile. The rooms were great, with everything you needed and the Cleaning maids were wonderful as well.The laundry service was fantastic as well. The Bar was really good as well and the staff being very attentive to you all the time.There is a live band on every night and they were very good as well. I ate in the bar 2 times, having Angus Steak, which was beautiful. I woulld like to thank all the staff at The City Garden Hotel for giving me the best holiday ever. I will definitely be back to stay at this wonderful Hotel.
“City Garden Hotel - North Point Hong Kong”
This hotel is away from any tourist attractions which is why I have returned there on 15 occassions. The local restaurants are Hong Kong 100 per cent The MTR to get you around Hong Kong is that good it is worth the extra push to get out to Fortress Hill and stay at this hotel I will be back next year......
“Very satisfied”
Stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in November. Really excellent. Got upgraded to Deluxe room free of charge. Nice size room and also very clean. Free South Morning post newspaper delivered to your door every morning as well. 3 minute walk to Fortress Hill station or hop on a Tram for 15p. We found staff extremely helpful as well. Didn't eat at hotel, as there are plenty of places to eat near by - bowls of noodles about 1 pound 50. Would stay again, as close to family in Shau Kei Wan.
“Very convenient location- easy access to all amenities”
The hotel room is spacious compared to some hotels that I had been to. Location is very central to all amenities and just a short walk to Kings Road. A good choice and I certainly will be booking this hotel again next time.
“Loved it.”
I was a lone female traveler to Hong Kong and had never been there before. The hotel was perfect for me. My room was modern and comfortable with all the facilities I needed. The service was impeccable and the location perfectly served by transport links. I would stay here again.
“Very comfortable, good access to the city”
Very close to Fotress Hill MTR (subway) station making everywhere pretty accessible in Hong Kong. Nice room, comfortable bed with a decent sofa to lounge on. Big window, lots of light, the view was only of buildings this is to be expected. Check-in and out was fairly quick and very easy. There are four lifts in the hotel, so being high up is not a problem. You also get some complimentary water (it is labelled so) each day as well as a newspaper. Note: there is a 500 HK dollar deposit per room when you check-in so plan how you might spend that after you check-out. Also of note, it cost 70 Hong Kong dollars to take a taxi from Myeong-gok (the shopping area on the mainland), to the hotel. A fair distance so not too bad if you don't feel like taking the MTR.
“Good value hotel”
This is a good value hotel. Good location, close to MTR and trams. All facilities matched or exceeded expectation. Shower had great water pressure and room was very comfortable.
“Nice simple but smallish”
Great hotel, but kind of basic if you're used to more expensive, but it's Honk Kong so it's hard to get something this central which isn't tiny, so it's pretty good considering its location.
