“Especially good for people who want to make their own food”

I booked this hotel because it had a kitchenette - with dietary restrictions it is often easier to make my own food than eat out. It would not suit those who don't want to make their own breakfast (Western breakfast food is not readily available nearby), but my room was spacious for the price, clean, and comfortable. The only glitch was with the hot water, but this was quickly fixed when I told the hotel management. There are interesting street markets minutes away, and many of Hong Kong's attractions can be reached quickly from the nearby Yau Ma Tei station. The management office is not open in the evening (though there is always a caretaker around), so I would advise letting them know if your flight arrives late or very early.

Area recommendations

My hotel was in Yau Ma Tei, which suited me fine, but people wanting more touristy areas with a larger choice of restaurants would be better off in Tsim Sha Tsui. Across Victoria Harbour the Central District is more Western, but personally I prefer Kowloon.

“CHI Residence: die günstigere Kategorie ist dann doch eher ein bisschen klein...”

Den Preis bezahlt man für die vielen Extras, zB Heizer, Küche + gute Ausstattung, nicht für die location und die Größe des Zimmers. Das Team ist wirklich sehr sehr nett, alle sind darauf aus einem einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten!
