We had to change room as the first room we were given had a terrible smell, when I called reception they reminded me that I had a free upgrade and asked if I wanted to downgrade. We didn’t mind if a downgrade meant to have a room that wasn’t so smelly. But the wardrobe still had a smell as if it had not been used in months. The afternoon tea that was part of our package was not really great, either. Shelves were dusty. you can see the tear and wear in the rooms. Apart from that, it was ok I guess. Reception staff were polite when checking in, checkout was fast. Location was convenient. Not noisy either. Bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were old but clean. Was it worth the price? No. Would we stay there again? No.

Great central location within walking distance to attractions and central metro. The staff is accommodating and helpful. Room cleaning was great. Air filters in common areas are great. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great value and friendly staff
I’ve stayed here 5 times over the years, but this is my first time back since the pandemic. It hasn’t changed, ie still a very good value. Cozy and no frills, but a good location, very helpful staff at a very affordable price for this part of Hong Kong. Will continue to come here when in the city and recommend you checking it out.

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Hong Kong. Close to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. The staff was very helpful and the room was lovely. Really nice. Cappuccino machine in the lobby was a bonus! We will stay there again.

major roadworks around the hotel. if it weren't for its excellent central location, I would have given two stars. Love: central location, Nespresso coffee at the lounge with comfortable couches, decent size room for triple sharing Dislike: roadworks where the hotel is, there is a sewage smell coming from the toilet and a 'damp' smell in the shower area.

我Book呢間酒店比外國嚟嘅朋友同佢小朋友入住, 但房間衛生狀況未如理想, 一入到房間已經聞到一陣潮濕嘅味道, 所以立即開咗抽濕機, 但到了晚上凌晨返到酒店睡覺時,發現床上的被十分臭, 由於小朋友已經瞓着的關係, 怕換過張被會吵醒小朋友, 唯有成晚冇被冚。第二日換了另一張被, 間房冇咁大味道, 可惜一揭開張被發現原來張床都係臭, 有一股不正常的味道(我不想在此胡亂猜測是什麼原因造成), 但第一晚由於張被太臭, 所以淨係以為係張被臭,唔知道原來張床都係臭,但由於小朋友又已經瞓着, 所以沒有換房. 我朋友第三日出門前要求更換房間, 更換房間後我朋友很滿意新房間的衛生狀況, 佢話乾淨過第一間房好多, 可惜佢頭兩晚都瞓得好差, 只能夠說運氣唔好, 一開始俾咗間有臭味嘅房佢, 此事令我覺得很不好意思, 因為幫我朋友訂了一間為佢嘅旅程增添麻煩的酒店。但由於呢間酒店地點方便,價格亦相宜, 下次我都會再訂呢間酒店俾我其他朋友, 希望酒店可以比間正常嘅房佢哋

Location, No Fuss, Friendly
Easy access to Airport Express, IFC, Central - Sheung Wan MTR, Macau Ferry, escalator, etc. Everything was fuss free. If you need something ask for it. No intrusive service offerings. Cleaning done well. Construction next door but no bothersome noises. Neighboring room had noisy kids, slamming doors, etc. BUT NOT hotel's fault. When asked, hotel rep came to talk to noisy family. They were still noisy but .. that's NOT the hotel's fault.

Pros: Location is good. Close to restaurants and bars. Wifi was good. The front desk team (Lex, etc.) was friendly and helpful. Cons: The shower tiles have molds. Uneven path near the hotel. I struggled in assisting someone in a wheelchair.

For a Central Hong Kong hotel it's fine. Near IFC where my meetings were. Other than location, there is nothing about Butterfly Wellington that is unique or memorable. If you are traveling alone it is fine. Wouldn't be great for families on a holiday.
