Some of the world’s most famous theaters, exhibits on cinema history and film artifacts line this historic boulevard in Los Angeles.

Hollywood Boulevard is one of the most recognizable districts in Los Angeles. Visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with stars on the sidewalk honouring thousands of celebrities. See the famous TCL Chinese Theatre, the setting for countless major film premieres.

See the home of the Academy Awards and many other celebrated events. Take a guided private or group tour of the boulevard and learn the history of this great street. Find props, costumes and memorabilia from feature films in many unique museums. This street also has a wax museum and a museum of rare oddities.

Discover many unusual artifacts inside Ripley’s Believe It or Not! This museum features modern and interactive displays, with over a dozen galleries spanning two floors. Notice a portrait of Michael Jackson made entirely out of candy and a genuine shrunken head.

Visit the Hollywood Wax Museum and see life-size wax replicas of many timeless celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin. Get your photograph taken with replicas of Matthew McConaughey and Halle Berry, among many other wax replicas on display.

The TCL Chinese Theatre, formerly Grauman’s and Mann’s, has been the setting for many historic film premieres, including the 1977 launch of George Lucas’ Star Wars. Watch a current-release film on the theatre’s IMAX screen, believed to be one of the world’s largest cinema screens.

Find the permanent home of the Academy Awards, the Dolby Theatre. This giant venue seats 3,400 guests and presents live performances and award nights year-round. See a world-class ballet or a touring Broadway musical in this exceptional theatre.

Notice the inlaid stars on the sidewalk of the boulevard, know as the Hollywood Walk of Fame. More than 2,300 stars are inscribed with the names and handprints of famous personalities who have excelled in film, television, performance and radio. Reach Hollywood Boulevard about 14 miles (23 kilometres) from Los Angeles International Airport.

Check with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for upcoming star ceremonies on Hollywood Boulevard.
