Stayed for two nights at this fabulous hotel, and were looked after by the exceptionally friendly staff. The rooms were superb, the views towards Salamanca were great, and everything was within walking distance. Do yourselves a favour, book a dinner at the inhouse restaurant, you will have one of the best meals of your life. A long and extensive wine list rounded out dinner nicely. This hotel will be our choice when we return to Hobart in March. Looking forward already!

A very comfortable stay. We were made to feel at home with two lounges and free use of a laundry. Our bedroom had a small sitting area with comfortable chairs and a second TV. Excellent continental breakfast with fruits and preserves from the garden.
We stayed from Friday to Sunday so that we could visit our son and family in Hobart. All facilities were excellent and the hotel is in walking distance from the docks, restaurants, shopping, Salamanca.
We just stayed one night, an unexpected trip, the two level room was well beyond our expectations: well equipped kitchen, a spacious living area with a desk for work and a big television, a bedroom downstairs with two single beds ( great for the kids) and a decent sized bedroom upstairs for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a small hotel which provides excellent, yet relaxed, service. We loved the attention to detail and all the little extras, such as the library which adds new titles every month, the Honour Bar, the tea and coffee whenever you feel like it and the freshly made cakes. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed dining in the conservatory on several occasions. A complementary washing service was a welcome surprise.
If you want to stay somewhere special these cottages are perfect. Built around 1880 the cottage was all in character but still had modern facilities like heating, showers etc. Only a 20 min walk down hill to the waterfront meant it was very handy to town so we didn't need to move our car (parking on site). Eggs and bread provided for the first day and plenty of cereal for day two. Host Wilmar was very welcoming when he arrived. My wife especially liked having candles, stereo/CD's and the fireplace available which was ready to light. The garden in spring was beautiful.
