This is a historic home repurposed into a hotel. The building is lovely with amazing woodworking, sitting room, and fireplaces. You can really feel the history. It was easy to walk to the water front and many historic sights, including the Whaler Bar, opened in 1831. We had a very nice large room with comfy bed and plenty of hot water. Plus, the Continental brekkie was quite nice!

I thought it was odd that breakfast was Included, but you had to pay to get a good cup of coffee. Instant coffee and tea were part of the complementary breakfast, but a brewed cup of coffee was $5 I would rather not have such an elaborate continental breakfast (cold cuts annd cheese) and coffee instead.

Our Room was Small with Toilet and Shower door opening into the bedroom. It was like sleeping in a bathroom. The rest of the Building was lovely with an old world feel, Friendly staff and good complimentary breakfast. I would recommend it as it was close to everything and had limited off road parking (for a price). Hotel seemed to be in a transition period with work being done on some Bedrooms. Great potential.

A very classy establishment that whispers stories of times long ago. Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Not a laminated surface in sight. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was big. We could do cartwheels. No fancy mod cons - but none needed. Everything required a short walk away. Beautiful. I’m already excited about staying here again.
