“A bit noisy and very tight rooms”

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are very helpful. But the hotel room I stayed was very compact. Not much space to move around. The major problem was the noise in teh room. Teh room was next to someone's house and there was an annoying rooster next dorr which would drive me crazy in the morning. I think most of the hotels in this city have the noise problem.

“Great location and very affordable”

Second time back to this hotel in 2 and a half weeks, booked a better room and was not disappointed. Friendly staff and in a central location with Ben Thanh market about 1 minute walk.

“AN HUNG HANOI”

Very happy with the quality of service I received at this newely renovated and re named hotel An Hung . The staff are friendly and willing to assist with anything, they also have a good grasp of the English language which makes things much easier. Close to night markets, outdoor eating areas etc. They offer advice and will help out the best they can. Hot water showers, very quiet inside, 24hour security cameras and guard. Ice cold room air conditioning. Rooms are modern and clean, they are cleaned daily and you can trust the cleaner, we left our things in the room on a daily basis and nothing was touched. The room also has a safe if needed. I will be back in Hanoi and will definately be using this hotel again. The Managing Director is fantastic, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome, providing excellent advice and even organising motorbikes for us! The bikes were brand new and much cheaper then the rest. A++++

Area recommendations

Hanoi, Old City. Friendly people and so many things to see and do to experience Vietnam. The lake is not far away, beautiful to ride around a few times on the motorbike or stop and have an ice coffee by the lake in a coffee shop.

Getting around

Try to avoid "fake" taxis. Always get your hotel to organie a taxi for you or if your keen get a motorbike, its cheap and you see much more. You may get ripped off by a fake taxi.

“Stay Away”

This was the biggest disappointment in Vietnam. Staff just rude and restaurant appalling. Would pay to spend same money some where closer to other parts of city as very noisy being next to roundabout.

They have Rib eye steak on there menu and when it came it was a huge piece of roast beef that had been fried. When i said this wasn't ribeye due to it being so big and looking and tasting liking roast beef they just said "we bought it as ribeye" and that was the last time we ate there besides the so called buffet breakfast that has no seats or most foods when semi busy.

“girls weekend in ho chi minh”

The hotel was very clean, conveniently located to the Ben Thanh markets , great cheap pho (noodle) restaurants and plenty of street shopping. The hotel has a great spa good prices and would stay there again.

“Market town . Great location”

Great hotel for doing all the Tourist things, Taxi to/from airport $7-8 aus, 140,000/160,000 Dong, All tourist/ sightseeing is within walking distance. Markets next door. Hotel is great, service is great, Breakfast is good , mainly vn food , but hey thats what your here for. Wireless internet great, or pc's downstairs(free to use). Plenty of staff to help, and tour desk is great. Tour desk has good prices on tours.

“Excellent location”

This was an excellent choice for someone who has been to Saigon , it was close to everyone and everything , the markets are across the road . The service was really excellent and make sure you take one of thier tours or all of them the guides are hilarious and informative . All the family are coming next time
