“Very good service highly recomend. Went out of their way to help me.”

“Not Impressed, Not Returning”
Very disappointed with the customer service. Final Straw is that they didn't accomodate a late check-out on a weekday morning. Expensive hotel for nothing.
“Good not Great”
The Sofitel chain is billed as a luxury hotel. The establishment in HCMC is a good place to stay. Staff was courteous, restaurants/buffet pricey and food just good. Carpet in the room was a bit soiled and the door to the room did not close all the way unless pulled shut with force. Should have asked for another room, but with jet lag and late arrival I just wanted to sleep. One thing I have noticed in many hotels, including the Sofitel lately, not enough bright light. I can't seem to get the room bright enough to feel comfortable doing business tasks. All of these would be small issues at a Motel 6, but at a higher end establishment like Sofitel???? Would give them another chance and stay again? Probably, but as the title says, Good not Great!
“Great Saigon hotel”
The Sofitel Saigon Plaza is a great hotel. This was my third stay there and each time I've been very satisfied. They do just about everything to perfection.
“It was okay . . .”
The hotel is modern and well placed for walking to notable places. We had been advised that we would be able to watch the fireworks for New year from the rooftop/pool side but no one told us that we wouldn't be able to because of a private function!! Kinda ruined out arrangements! Apart from the horrendous price for the buffet, the food was good in quality and variety. The staff were reasonably pleasant and the room comfortable - gorgeous bathroom!
“Saigon Sofitel hotel”
comfort & clean & convenient
“Slabs to sleep on”
Unless you like to sleep on a plank, I would not book this hotel. The beds were hard as a cement slab, and I had booked this hotel because we were arriving after 20 hours of travel from the US and anticipated needing a comfortable sleep. The linens were also not up to par for a 5 star hotel. However, the pool was beautiful and a wonderful respite from the mad mad world of Ho Chi Minh City below.
“Real Euro feel in Vietnam”
Visually exceptional hotel - very warm, zen like feel. Nice mix of modern, Asian, and Euro feeling all combined. Very good service all around (though concierge was not terribly strong in English, but we managed just fine). Very nice infintiy style pool on top floor, views of Saignon on 3 sides. Rooms very stylish, clean. Only problem would be serious lack of hot water in shower - though I was told by a local that this is very common in Vietnam in general. But I would think chain like Sofitel could and should be able to address this. But overall, being so far from home, this is a very comfortable place to park.
“Sofitel awesomeness”
As part of the package we had airport transfer to the hotel. Very nice man was there waiting for us with a sign. Arrived at the hotel and was met with absolute professionalism. Beautiful hotel, exceptional customer servce. They make your room up, turn it down before you sleep. Leave nice little bites to eat every night...hmmmm. Knock on your door to make sure you are happy with everything. Beautiful pool on the roof. Nice views all around the hotel. Well equipped Gym. The hotel is located in a good area. Easy to get to all of the sites around te city or its is heaps cheap to get a taxi...or a bike if you are game!! Loads of places to eat and drink in the area and soooo cheap!
“Cool location, old rooms”
I have to stay for two nights in this hotel. Location is very good and safe, and within 10 minutes of walking you can reach shopping mall and lots of Cafe and modern local restaurants. The room was old, and the shower drain was plugged, even after they try to fix it. 3 minutes of shower only, unless you shut off the water and wait for few minutes for drainage. Overall for room appearance I would not give more than 3.5 stars, and will take off 0.5 point for the problem indicated. I am not sure if all the room were in similar condition, and I can only review one room out of few hundreds in the hotel. Staff are extremely helpful, polite and very professional. If you get a nice room, all your problems are resolved and I would give a 5 star as advertised. Free WiFi are available in room and Lobby. Most 4-5 stars hotels charge you for this, where I find out that 1-3 star hotels also offer it for free during my trip.
