“"One Time Only"”
Here are my brief comments: 1. The room is nice and clean - grade 5 2. The hotel restaurant food is bad and expensive - grade 3 3. The management staff is not professional - grade 2 4. All the 4-star hotels in Saigon have free internet except this one - grade 1 My conclusion is "no return". The hotel is not oriented for business people.
“Good price, clean and close to airport”
The check in was quick and efficient, the rooms are clean, safe and well maintained. This hotel was ideal for a short night near the airport.
“Nice Place”
We did a short trip to Vietnam and pick the Movenpick hotel we choose to up grade to executive and this turned out to be a very good deal. The hotel was clean very comfortable the staff were very helpful. The food was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was also good. Will go back to stay if we go to Vietnam again for sure.
“Jack's Wedding”
Staff was very accomodating and responsive to all requests. This hotel is recently renovated and rooms are beautiful. Hotel is very close to White Palance where I attended a wedding banquet. Major problem was the air conditioner. Although someone was sent to repair it 3 times, it still did not work, so I was moved to another room. No business center computers available at this time, but I was given access to a hotel computer to check my email. They still have some bugs to work out following the renovation, but I would not hesitate to stay there again. Transportation note: Prepaid taxi from airport was US$6.00 paid at airport in U.S. currency. Return taxi to airport was by meter and even less, paid in local currency.
“never come back”
Because they are recontruction hotel
“Excellent for convenience to airport”
Excellent for 1st or last night in town. Not far from city center, but very tedious cab ride to center in traffic. They offer limo service from airport, with uniformed person waiting outside customs; I arranged for it and felt it was worth the fee to have someone waiting to pick me up upon my late-night arrival.
“The old Omni hotel is still good”
I have stayed in the same property years ago when it was called Omni Saigon. The advantages used to be its proximity to the airport and nice restaurants. The disadvantage used to be its distance to downtown (not a great distance, but traffic in the city is horrible). The advantages still remain. The disadvantage has become a bigger handicap because traffic is worse now, and it seems they are building a subway train system right under the road in which the hotel is located which makes the traffic even worse. Once the subway is built, however, the place should be terrific providing access to downtown within minutes.
“Movenpick Ho Chi Minh Saigon”
This was my second stay at Movenpick this year, last time I was there in January of this year, I happen to arrive in Ho Chi Minh on my Birthday, and took a standard single room, Hotel staff was very good, next day on my birthday upon my return from my work I found a nice big Birthday Cake in my room and a free dinner coupon courtesy of hotel management. This last visit I made reservations via Expedia for a Executive room which cost me about the same as single room without discount. The executive rooms are special, internet access, breakfast, and up to 4 pieces of laundry is included, plus you have a nice happy hour on the 7th floor. This is Hotel is very good in both quality and service.
“Good location”
This hotel is just 15 mins or so from dist. 1 in Saigon and perhaps 10 minutes to the airport. If you have an early morning flight this can save you a few minutes sleep.
“Nice business trip stay at the Moevenpick Ho Chi Minh City”
I stayed at the Moevenpick hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on a recent business trip. I was very happy with the hotel and service. The breakfast buffet was very nice and kept me well fed. My primary complaint was that the wireless internet service had very poor access to outside websites, and I was generally not able to access my personal or company email while at the hotel. The wireless link worked reliably to my PC - the issue was either in filtering or outside access.
