“Good bang for your buck!”

Liberty 1 Hotel is centrally located within walking distance to many sights and markets. The hotel is a older hotel but clean and comfortable. The hotel staffs are extremely courteous and attentive. The breakfast buffet is great and the free Wi - Fi is also nice. Definitely would stay here again and already recommended to a friend. Good value for the price.

“Built in 40's ?”

Hotel was old and in need of updates. Excessive traffic noise was annoying. Poor water pressure, no alarm clocks, wake up calls not received. Room was clean.

“Best of the Liberties”

The only drawback to this hotel is the longer walking distance to the town centre. The staff are excellent, the rooms large and clean and the restaurant is good. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room would be nice.

“Hotel Review”

Liberty 1was found in District 1 an ideal location if you wanted to navigate to most of the major tourist areas yourself. Room was enough for the amount of time that we were there. Breakfast was adequate. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Reasonably priced for a great location.

Area recommendations
District 1 , was the most popular, loads of markets and shops to see, seemed to be the most safest and I felt comfortable walking round late at night as well.
Getting there
After coming from the airport you get in a taxi and negotiate the fare. I asked Vietnamese nationals on the plane - How much you would expect to pay to Liberty 1 by taxi and so therefore had an idea and could bargain more effectively. I believe this is a great time for any new country you visit. This in turn allows you not to be ripped off too much and enables you to have more money in the pocket for spending money.

“An excellent Hotel”

Full of praise for this hotel except that it is a bit far from the centre of town and taxis to the hotel were expensive and we felt overcharged and cheated by the drivers. The drivers on both occassions blamed the traffic one way system but we were not convinced. Taxis from the hotel were always reasonable. Places to eat around the hotel were rather scarce but this may have been more to do with our inexperience of the neighbourhood. To play it safe, we would choose this hotel again as it could not be faulted.

“would come back to this place”

we stayed here during our stay in saigon, the hotel staff is very friendly the secrurity guys waves down cabs for you and is very helpful. they even packed us lunch at 5am because we had to check out early for a flight no charge as breakfast was included, breakfast was very nice by the way the rooms was very clean, had everything, aircon, new bathroom, clean bed, cable tv would shame alot of other hotels ive stayed at that are 3-4 times the price

“Great value and wonderful service”

I booked this place purely based on price and location. I was so impressed with the overall experience. I reccomend this hotel and would stay there again myself. The rooms are simple and clean. Very comffortable bed and good size bathroom. Air con and good TV channels. The staff bend over backwards, from reception, restaurant and concierge/door staff. The buffet breakfast included in pleasant with simple choices and plenty of variety. The location is great, and easy to get anywhere in ditrict 1 by foot and close taxi to oterh areas. The price is right too! Amazing value.

Area recommendations
District 1 is great for shopping and eating, also getting a feeling of the city. Don't be shy about going further afield, Saigon is so safe and there is much to see. We went to a market in Cholon, District 6 (Bin Tay) less pressued than Ben Than.

“WE would stay there again.”

It turned out to be close to the core part of town and so it was safe and easy to walk there and it was just over 3 miles from the airport so that part was easy as well.

“Enjoyed Liberty 1”

We stayed 4 nights at Liberty 1 and enjoyed our stay. Worried about the noise level, I requested a room on a high floor and found that from the 5th floor, the noise level was fine. We could hear the honking but not to the point that it was disturbing or woke us up. Large rooms were clean, shower pressure great, staff extremely friendly. We really appreciated the fresh fruits updated each day as well as the two daily bottles of water and the free internet access in the lobby. No, it's not in the middle of all the action but we appreciated that. It's within walking distance of all the sights but not as touristy.

“Looking for something cheap in the middle of the city and highlights?”

Excellent hotel if you are looking for something cheap and close to downtown and city highlights! I was impressed by the great service and english spoken people there.. has a massage center and good buffet restaurant... streets on the surroundigs are a bit noisy but nothing that wont keep you awake on the nights..
