“Highly recommend”

Great hotel for the price and we enjoyed it very much. This is a 3-4 star hotel with a basic lay out but was very clean and the staff are very good. It has a clean pool,sauna,spa,gym and a massage was available for a fee. The new bar area on the ground floor is very small but quite quaint and is the perfect way to spend an afternoon just kicking back with a cocktail and watch the people and motor bikes go buy, this is in air conditioning and although on the main road very quiet. This hotel is in the perfect location in district 1 as it is just 10 minutes to the Sigon river or the Ben Thanh market and only 1min to Dong kohi street for up market shopping.The breakfast was fantastic with both western and asian food a plenty and the Tax store right next door made shopping for almost any thing easy and it's airconditioned.

Area recommendations

District 1 (Sigon) is the best .It has everything to offer everybody and all the tour goups pick up from there. I also found it very safe both day and night.

“Good location with nice breakfast buffet”

Very good location -- walking distance to Ben Tanh market, river and surrounding areas. Good selection in breakfast buffet. Wireless and wired internet is included in the hotel room, which is nice and convenient. However, the room is a little old and outdated. No good and comfortable desk to use your laptop in the deluxe room -- use the nightstand which also act as a table -- room is average size at its best. Forget the spa and massage offered by the hotel -- all the packages and different types of massages describe in the brochure are not available after the renovation as claimed by the working staff -- only a regular massage is available -- feel like a bait and switch strategy.

Area recommendations

A few massage facilities nearby -- a lot better and cheaper than that offered in the hotel. Walking distance to Ben Tanh market, river, and its surrounding areas.

“A hotel with one of the best locations in Ho Chi Minh City”

This hotel is located in a very good location, very near to popular shopping places, restaurants, and cafes. Room interior is a bit old and the lighting on corridor is a bit dim, but it is not a problem to me. Breakfast menu is good with quite a lot of variety.

“Friendly hotel in central Saigon”

We were very pleased with our experience at Kimdo Royal City. As a family of 5 we found it hard to find a hotel that would let us stay as a family in one room booking but this was no problem at Kimdo. The rooms are reasonably large, a bit old but clean and well-maintained. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was large and had good variety of Asian and Western foods. We stayed over the New Year holiday and the hotel had a free party for guests on New Years Eve which added a nice touch to the vacation. The location can't be beat. We would stay here again.

Area recommendations

The central part of Ho Chi Minh City, District 1, is closest to shops, sites and entertainment.

“Old condition”

The hotel is in a great location. But, it's old and it shows. It didn't help that I just stayed at the Novotel in Nha Trang which is new!

“Reasonable rate in good location”

Service was great, staff were all friendly. Only downside was that room was a bit dark and location of aircon made it not very effective. Room rate was special rate which made it very reasonable compared to other hotels. If normal rate it probably would have been overpriced.

“Run down and not trying hard enough”

This hotel is way past its best. It's run down and claims what it is not. The "swimming pool" is about 1.5 meters wide - only one person can enter it! The "garden" is tiny and you can't enjoy it. Look elsewhere - there are many better hotels at the same price.

“great location, nice staff”

Like all Saigon hotels, the price is higher than a comparable room in other SE Asian cities. Also, the beds were a bit hard and bathrooms small. But the location is great, staff very nice, so I would go back.

“Excellent Experience”

We had the buffet breakfast which offered a very extensive selection of Vietnamese and American food. The location is ideal and is one block from the Rex and Continental Hotels which are at least $100 more expensive per night. Fitness center and indoor pool were good. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.

Traveller's tip

This Hotel is in the center of the most upscale part of Ho Chi Minh City. Great live entertainment and rooftop dining. Shopping is very good in this area and there is an excellent travel agency to book tours across the street.

“キムドーさん、また行くからね”

キムドーロイヤルシティホテル、本当に良いホテルです。他の方のレビューの中には、部屋の臭いが気になるなどの意見もあり、実際に訪れるまでは、いろいろと不安な点もありました。しかし、いざ行ってみればとても清潔で、部屋の臭いも全く気になりませんでした。（むしろいい匂いがしましたよ笑）また、チェックインが１４時以降にもかかわらず、１時間以上も早くから部屋に入れていただき、とても助かりました。（思いのほか早く到着してしまいました）さらに、１２時にチェックアウトした後も、周辺を散策している間、１８時頃までスーツケースなどの荷物を預かっていただきました。本当に大助かりでした。ホテルのプールやジムなども無料で何度も利用することができました。おかげさまでひどい筋肉痛になりました。キムドーロイヤルシティホテルの皆様、素晴らしいサービスをありがとうございました。是非また利用させていただきたいと思います。
