“Let's play 'Find the Hotel !!!'”
I've spend many, many night in various Country Inns and Suites for business travel, and this particular one is fine, average. Not the best I've seen but certainly nothing to complain about. My real gripe is with the location. As others have stated in reviews, your GPS cannot find it, not even on my Android using Google maps. You might get within a quarter mile, but then you're on your own. Lord help you. We were arriving after dark, which made it worse. even after we were able to spot it, we could not figure out how to actually get to it. WHY THE HECK IS THERE NO SIGNAGE BY ANY ROAD ?!?!?!?!? It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to get to it even after spotting it in the distance. There is NO signage by any road telling you where to go. We ended up going through a restaurant parking lo to get to it, and from there we could see the one tiny 'road' leading to it. When I asked the desk clerk about that she just nodded and said they were 'not allowed' to put up signage to help people out. HUH ?!?!? Maybe they're just too cheap to do that. Anyway, if you actually find it, it's an acceptable place to stay. Best wishes.
“Convenient yet secluded”
This Country Inn is convenient to restaurants and shopping, yet somewhat secluded in a wooded setting just a couple of blocks from two main arteries through town. IHOP is right next door and many other retail establishments are nearby. Quick access to downtown or airport. Some caveats - no "do not disturb" sign for the door (in our room), no drink cups in the bathroom, and the coffee service in the room didn't have enough coffee or condiments for even 1 full cup of coffee. The Cont Breakfast area makes up for that, but it's not IN the room.... We did not try the pool or exercise areas, but overall we enjoyed the place.
“You get what you pay for, almost”
We needed a last-minute close-by getaway after T.S. Lee ruined our Gulf Coast plans. We decided on a weekend in Chattanooga, and this was the cheapest hotel of its kind. First, as others have pointed out, it's almost impossible to find. It also is not at all convenient to the downtown 'Nooga area. Second, forget about the "free" breakfast. It's free because it's almost non-existent: they seemed to be always running out of pretty much everything (well before the end of breakfast hours, too), both mornings we were there. Last, I don't know what other reviewers were talking about - there were no cookies offered ever during our 3-day/2-night stay. We even inquired about it, and the desk clerk had to make a special batch just for us. It does provide the basics - a well-maintained property, a clean and comfortable room with no issues, decent Internet/WiFi, a (very small!) pool. If that's all you care about, then this is a fine hotel. Just beware of the points I made above.
“great hotel but a gps nightmare”
clean hotel good service but impossible to find with gps ,like the fresh cookies everyday and the hot breakfast
“Very Nice Stay”
Very clean hotel. Convenient to Chattanooga attractions. Just be sure to check the pool rating before getting in!
“Great experience”
There were only a few issues with this hotel. 1) It was not a pleasant neighborhood to walk through because it was in a really automobile centered area. 2) Our television didn't pick up any channels, but we didn't complain so we didn't have it resolved, though it may have been. I chose this hotel for a conference weekend because of special rates. The trip each day to downtown Chattanooga was not too bad, but next time I would find something closer to town. The hotel didn't have a lot of amenities outside of the room, but breakfast in the morning was great. Bathrooms were nice and roomy. Overall we really enjoyed the stay.
“An Outstanding Experience”
From the moment my family and I walked in the front door of the hotel, we were impressed. The clerk immediately asked my name, shook his head in recognition, and handed me my room keys. When my family and I got to our room, we were quite impressed by its arrangement and cleanliness. Everything was just as it should have been. Just as important, though, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff including those in housekeeping and maintenance. Every staff member we came in contact with greeted us, and anytime we had a question (or the staff just thought we had a question) they were ready to help. The stay was peaceful and quiet. Even with a high school baseball team staying at the same time we were, we were never had any disturbances. The hotel is in a great area with plenty of food options and stores located in the vicinity. Every time I asked about a certain restaurant or store, a staff member was able to tell me the location of one within 2-3 minutes of the hotel. The hotel is also only 10 minutes from the downtown Chattanooga attractions. Do not rely on Google maps or a GPS, however, for directions to the hotel. Google maps fails to mention that one of the main roads in its directions changes names. This was by far the best hotel experience my family has ever had, and we would definitely stay again. If this hotel is representative of all Country Inn and Suites facilities, we will certainly try to book with them first.
“Nice hotel, but hard to find!”
Very difficult to find. No signage.
“Good Value”
We had a suite for our family of 4 (two adults, two small children). The room was spacious for all of our needs, even had room to roll in a crib. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh waffles and other hot food - eggs, bacon, french toast, as well as yogurt, cereal, juices and coffee. We also enjoyed the fresh made cookies every afternoon. The pool was heated and the pool area was very clean. We did laundry once, and even though the detergent machine ate my money, they reimbursed me at the front desk and sold me a small box of detergent. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was about a 10 minute drive from downtown Chattanooga, and surrounded by plenty of places to eat and a shopping mall. It was a little difficult to get to the hotel the first time, but once we found the access road, it was in a very convenient place. We would definitely stay here again for a return trip to Chattanooga.
“Great Breakfast”
Great hotel somewhat hard to find behind other buildings but worth it! Friendly service and hot breakfast bar was the best!
