Our ten-year old grand daughter hated to leave. Nice pool. Good location to visit the Chicago attractions and return each night to relax.

“Great service!.... until I visited the lounge”

My stay was quite pleasant! Very clean room, fine service, and pretty good restaurant. Right across the way from a sweet shopping center and several dining options. Only a short drive from the park-and-ride at the last stop on the Blue Line. The television in the room was not so modern and the remote was very picky about when and where it wanted to work. But the only REAL issue I had was in the lounge. I never went in the evening, so it could be better then. But I went once in the afternoon and had the worst bar experience, as far as service, that I have ever had. The girl tending the bar appeared lost, like she had never been near a bar before, and bored. After watching and experiencing all the things that were done horribly wrong, I could easily conclude that she has never had responsible vendor training or bar training, even in its basics. Legal? I think not. After guess-timating our total and waiting for us to fork over cash without seeing a bill, we left that lounge never to return again.

We had a great experience. The room was fine, the poo was great and the free shuttle to and from our music was extremely helpful.

For the price I paid, the hotel was extremely nice. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were efficient and had us checked in in no time. The room was very nice and even though the hotel was packed, it was very quiet and restful. We could not anyone even though there were people in every room all around.

We were in Oak Park for a Frank Lloyd Wright tour. It was not far. Our only difficulty was in finding the hotel. We had to call for directions because our mapquest was confusing.

“Different strokes for different folks...”

My first visit to Chicago and was unsure of where to base myself and chose this hotel based on a suggestion. The staff were friendly, informative and approachable. Quite well situated for access to/from O'hare airport as it's only a relatively shortish drive, but there is of course the offer of a shuttle from the hotel. Granted for a visit into Chicago you will either have to drive in, or as I did which was drive to Forest Park Metro and catch the 'L' in (10min drive and only a few $'s parking for 12hrs), again there was an offer of using the shuttle bus to/from the metro should I have wanted to. I didn't make use of the restaurant facilities at the hotel, but there were a number of food options within a few minutes drive of the hotel. I had a no issues with my room and was comfortable all throughout my stay. In summary if you have you're own transport and are visiting you could do worse than Best Western Chicago Hillside.
