Hotel OK but staff member was very RUDE!

Pros: convenience of location to where I was going
Cons: remove the male employee that was working the front desk at 9:30am on 11/8/14.
My experience was ok at this hotel, although if it wasn't for my experience while checking out I may have came back to this hotel but because of the rude staff while checking out I will not be staying here again. Room was fine, back hurt when I woke up the next morning though. Continental breakfast was horrible, worse I've had at any hotel, food did not look fresh at all. While checking out on 11/8/14 that morning, I asked the man on duty for a copy of a piece of paper that I had signed and initialed in a few places the night before when I checked in. He absolutely refused to give me a copy of a document that I signed. Said that "I would have to take it up with expedia since I made my reservation with them". This made no since to me at all considering the fact it was a document stating that I would be responsible for incidentals and such. I stated I felt if I signed a document I felt I deserved a copy. Just looked at me and said "Sorry" in a rude tone then walked away into their little back room, didn't care if I had anything else to say or not. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone for that purpose alone!

Pros: Check in desk staff BEST thing about this hotel.
Cons: Rooms need to be a bit larger. Coffee in room.
Location: Plenty of FAST FOOD restaurants within walking disrance.
Breakfast was mediocre. Surprised there was NO coffee maker in the room.

Pros: Clean and a good price
Cons: Noisy, and the breakfast leaves something to be desired.
We have stayed here several times and always had a good experience. Convenient to downtown Hillsborough with its historic shops and restaurants.

Housekeeping fail to clean my room the first night and informed me that they did not clean if guest stayed latter than noon. This was not listed in policy information and should be.

Pleasing stay in Hillsborough

Location: good restaurant choices
Check in/out efficient. Hotel employees friendly and helpful. Room was sufficient and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Two suggestions: #1- a bedside lamp would improve the needs of reading in bed. Our room had bright wall lighting fixtures over each bed that completely illuminated the room. I wanted to read without keeping my husband awake and it was impossible. #2-we heard the guests in the rooms above and beside us. It would be wonderful if the walls were thicker or had more insulation to make it quiet.

Pros: Right next to a steak house
Cons: everything
The walls are thin enough that you can hear people 5 rooms away. Extremely small rooms. When I tried to check out, 4am, I had to hunt down an employee. That took 20 minutes, which nearly made me miss my flight.
