First time visit

Posted 01-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
This was my first time visit to this hotel having previously stayed at Park Inn, Manchester. In comparison this one very poor. Carpets in the room in need of deep clean and sanitizing! Poor glazing meant all the busy road noise kept us awake. Staff informed us that the hotel was just goiung through a sale process and that may result in much needed Investment/Upgrading of facilities. Plus point very close to rail sation for London travel. Breakfast OK.

Pros: on this occasion not a lot
Cons: working T.V/ Remote working heating in the rooms
Location: near to train station , suitable for travelling to work
I have stayed at Park Inn on a number of occasions of the last three / four years, this stay was the not best, The T.V remote did not work , which was replaced by another one that did not work. the heating did not work in the room , requested a heater , had to chase up heater, told not one available , had to change rooms at 1130 pm , only to find the T.V in room did not work , gave up asking went to bed.

Hmmm how long does it take get a drink?

Posted 13-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
10 minutes whilst they stood talking in the kitchen! Hotel rooms are great value, the location for what I needed was perfect, yet the service is awful in the bar and restaurant - it takes ages. Communal areas could do with a spruce up.

Good location shame about the slow service

Posted 10-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in close proximity my location of work for the week and I was able to leave my car in the car park and walk to my clients offices. The twin room had all the amenities required, however the heating did not work and one of my colleagues requested this to be fixed but had to be provided with a separate heater in their room instead as it could not be fixed. On the first night we ate in the restaurant when there was only one other table, however had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food to arrive. We received an apology for our delay however I would have expected quicker service when the restaurant was so quiet. On two occasions in the evenings when myself and my 2 other colleagues tried to open our rooms the key cards failed and therefore a trip to reception was required to get our key cards reactivated. We took care to make sure the key cards were not close to any mobile phones, however I am still unsure why this would have happened on two separate occasions.

Comfortably convenient

Posted 03-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed the weekend to attend Wembley stadium. Conveniently situated far enough away, not to be swamped by the Wembley chaos, but close enough and within easy reach of London for some site seeing from the nearby station. Have stayed here before and will be returning again next year. Staff very helpful, changed my room because the safe did not work and couldn't be fixed. Car parking a little pricey for residents I think is a only negative. Food from the bar very good.

Double bed to share with teenage daughter

Posted 01-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
The twin room I booked and paid for was not available, so I had to give the double bed to my daughter and sleep on the floor. Breakfast starts at 8, which is useless if you need to leave at 7.30!

Good hotel for Watford

Posted 27-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
The Park Inn in Watford is a good hotel in a good location for anything in Central Watford. The only (slight) downside was that I was asked to pay £7.50 to pay to park my car (although they did revoke this once challenged). Hotel was clean and tidy and not at all bad

Great Economic Option

Posted 13-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
Given how remarkably expensive staying in London is, this is a great option. Under 5 minutes away from the train station which will take you to London every 15 minutes, this is a very good option if you're trying to save some money.
