Great trip with 3 children under 10. We were allowed all 3 in our room. Hotel provided an extra bed too!

Pros: Convenient and comfortable
Cons: Parking, but probably not easily

Good location, shame no room service & poor bed

Posted 11-Dec-2013
Great location on Clarendon Rd near Watford city centre & Watford Junction Station. Room big but no in-room fridge. This wouldn't usually be a problem but they don't do room service & only serve food until about 10 pm at weekends, so you're stuck if you don't get back until late and need food! I opted for the world's worst kebab from a shop nearby. We had room 504 which was quiet as requested. Good size but poorly lit & one light wasn't working. Double bed was so uncomfortable on one size that I resorted to sleeping away from my partner & slept in the single! Poor that they want to fleece you for £5 per hour or £10 per 24 hours for wifi. Didn't have breakfast in hotel as you can have a much nicer breakfast or brunch at Giraffe at the nearby Tesco Extra on Water Lane (2 mins by car)! Ate a batlr meal on Sat night - was pricey and tiny portion, and had to endure lots of drunk girls in their noisey office party disco. We could have eaten upstairs (they were offering it that night due to the party) but wanted to sit downstairs after a long drive from Wales. All in all, nice room, but uncomfortable bed and poor facilities for a hotel of its size and quality.

Perfect Spot in Watford

Posted 05-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
I needed to stay near Watford junction, and this worked out great. If you have a case on wheels, you can easily walk the 5-7 min from the station. Looks like a new hotel - room was pretty spacious, and Internet worked well (extra fee). Had continental breakfast for 6 pounds, full is 10. There is a bus stop right in front. I took a bus from Heathrow central bus station and it was very easy - maybe 30-40 minutes, though bus doesn't leave frequently on a Sunday.
