Lovely hotel , reception staff welcoming and obliging , hotel very clean modern decor , beautiful smell on entering the hotel. Nice relaxing bar area and again staff welcoming and polite .All areas kept beautifully which is credit to the domestic staff who also polite and helpful . The room was a good size all necessary amenities provided . Comfortable beds . Water in bathroom lovely and hot for bath showers etc . The hotel is near the town plenty of shops eating places etc all within very short walking distance .

Good sized room. Twin bed was a bit small for an adult and generally beds were not very comfortable for an 8 night stay. Would still recommend highly.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The ac didn’t adjust much so it was hotter than we prefer but overall the stay was good.

Love this hotel and it’s location. We booked a Superior King but were kindly upgraded to an Executive room upon check in. Bed was very comfortable and spacious. Very much appreciated the complimentary water in reception and were pleased to make the most of a drinks voucher when we returned from Harry Potter Studios, that coffee was delicious. While the breakfast choice is superb, the temperature of the food was luke warm, even the latte out of the machine was on the cooler side, which was a bit odd. Heading down at 9:15 on a Monday morning, I appreciate there wasn’t as many patrons as there would be on a weekend, so fresh food replenishment was not really needed.

Disappointing
We ordered three steak dinners at £29.50 each plus sauce @ £3.50 - we had two types of steak all were dry, chewy, with grizzle - sauce bland, cauliflower cheese was hard - Another had a pasta chicken dish, chicken was tough to eat, lots of food wasted as inedible, meals in general very disappointing for the cost. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms we had were on the second floor, they are a bit dated, and the bathrooms quite old, the tap and toilet flush were very stiff to use. No instructions for the air con/heating, took us an evening to work it out, and then it had a mind of its own, in main the room was quite cold, seeing it was snowing wasn’t a good time to have a temperamental thermostat. Other room we had there was no heating, they did provide a floor heater. The staff we cannot fault, friendly and helpful. We would not stay at the hotel again, or other Leonardo hotels in case they were the same.

Toilet did not flush, doors were banging all night with wind making lots of noise. Was also locked in the stairwell for 25 mins as the key would not work to let me in or out

Excellent location (assuming you want the shopping centre or football ground) and fantastic property for the price. Hotel itself was great and parking for 24 hours was £4.

Property was perfect for our Harry Potter Studio Tour. The hotel is situation near Watford Junction which has a free shuttle bus to the studios. Hotel amenities are excellent and the room was perfect for my family of 3. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room was cold despite an additional space heater placed in the room. Room had an adjoining door and the guest in the adjoining room had a bad cough which was not pleasant and could be heard clearly. No soundproofing through the door.

Not bad but can do better
Lack of attention to some important details, like leaving a leaflet in the bedrooom to say we can hang towels so they dont get replaced for ecological reasons, yet they get replaced even if you hang them, some hair left in bath thub, air conditioning reset to the temperature the cleaner found conformtable (24 while i set at 18). Breakfast staff over-run when there is a lot of clients. Overall not bad but can definitely do better since it is supposed to be a 4*.
