Great hotel for a short stay.

Pros: Location was perfect for what we wanted.
Location: Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studios London (a short train/tube trip away) Plenty of bars/restaurants in Watford centre
We stayed here to go to Warner Brothers Harry Potter studios & it was a great location only about 10-15mins away by car. Hotel is located right next to a Toby Carvery breakfast it better bought here (less than £5) than in the hotel (£15) & it was a handy place to go for a quick evening meal after a long drive down to Watford. We also went into London on the train & again train station was close by with parking facilities.

Marked down as lock missing on bathroom door, floor dirty and bed had a poor quality topper. You could not cuddle up because of gap in the middle of the mattress. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff.

Great stay because I chose a larger room this, which was conveniently right above the gym. Nice food in the restaurant but not the biggest portions.

Horrendous outdated hotel in a poor state

Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: Clean rooms, a lick of paint, train duty manager in customer service.
We were booked into a junior suite. When we arrived we realised that they had put us into a smoking room which smelt awful. I have smoked for 22 years and never smelt anything like it. When we discussed this with the manager his response was, and I quote "there is nothing I can do about it, all the rooms smell like that". Eventually we had to accept being downgraded to a double room which was on par if not worse than a premier inn! Generally the hotel is old, tired and very outdated. This is my second bad experience in a Hilton hotel in as many weeks and will never book with them again. They have gone totally down hill and seem to be trading on their name.
