“Fantastic views and service”

This is a lovely hotel. The staff enjoy making your visit memorable. The views are fantastic - you can whale watch while you sip some bubbly in the bar. The seafood restaurant is superb I will definitely go back

“Beaitiful hotel with great views. Best in town.”

Very nice staff. The seafood restaurant was delicious andvery reasonable priced. Afternoon tea at the beautifully decorated white and yellow lounge overlooking the ocean was the highlight. Just watch for the windy season. Our September stay was almost like hurricane season and we where not able to fully enjoy the town.

“Amazing Stay”

Wonderful hotel. Excellent service. Pretty double room.

Area recommendations

De Kelders is a 30 minute drive from the hotel along R43. Best site to see the whales, by far!

“Superb Hotel!!!”

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Apart from the beautiful location overlooking the water, the building itself, full of character, it was the staff who really made our stay exceptional. The level of service was faultless, the people we met charming and genuinely friendly. One of the highlights of our stay was a meal in one of the hotels reastaurants, a seven course tasting menu, paired with different wines which showcased the produce of South Africa, a definite "10"! I am very happy to highly recommend this hotel!

Area recommendations

Hermanus itself is not exceptional. It is well known for the whale watching that can be done from shore at times during the year. There are however quite a lot of wildlife reserves and rugged coastal scenary in the in the area to enjoy.

“Excellent Hotel”

We were delighted with our weekend away at the Marine Hermanus. We watched numerous Southern Right Whales breaching out of the water from the window of our beautiful, light-filled room, as well as from the lovely sun lounge where we had afternoon high tea. The food in both restaurants was excellent, and since my husband doesn't eat seafood, they prepared a special dish of springbok for him. The service was extremely friendly and efficient. The only downside was that the spa was not as luxurious as expected.
