Don't be fooled by the entrance, the inside is very nice.
However there is no parking space in front of the hotel, so the best thing to do is drive to the end of the street (100 yards) where there is a parking lot
Lovely staff especially the one chappie that spoke English he was especially helpful and made sure I had a wonderful stay I'm so glad I made this last minute booking definitely the best hotel I visited during my trip to France.

Wanted to stay in a unique hotel. This building is relic with exposed original stones seen inside and out. Large windows and shutters open out onto the streets. The hotel has been renovated throughout using a very modern decor. We stayed in the suite which offered additional sofa (pull out bed) and sitting area for just a few dollars more. Because double beds are very common in Europe (we have a king size at home), my husband slept on the sofa bed and said it was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night. Try to get on the lower floors or you will be carrying your lugguge up 3-4 flights of stairs because there is no elevator. They offer a nice breakfast buffet for additional 8 Euros. Staff was friendly but not fluent in English. Would stay there again.

Lovely hotel on a picturesque street in the old town. A square with several restaurants was just a few steps away. The owners acted more like B&B owners. They were charming, personable, offered good suggestions for places to eat and things to do and even carried my heavy suitcase upstairs to my room. The room had air conditioning so I could have left windows closed, but I chose to open them for fresh air, so it was a bit noisy most of the night.

You could hardly ask for a better location, right on a beautiful Square, half block from an old Roman temple, and a few blocks from the coliseum. We got a beautiful, comfortable and spacious corner room looking out over the square. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient although the night manager did not speak English. The hotel restaurant had one of the best lunches that we had on our trip.
All this for €59 a night off-season. Parking was not included, another €17, but was right under the hotel. No elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up the stairs. But overall, we would highly recommend Hotel Royale.

The gentleman at the reception desk was very helpful, polite and always had a smile on his face. The hotel was close to the station, restaurants, cafes and the centre of town. A short but pleasant stay highlighted by the man at reception who went out of his way to meet our needs.
It was hard to find. Then the hotel left the building at 9 pm till morning. Even with the elevator you still had steps to go up and down. Rooms were cramped and dirty. Another guest described it as a tired hotel I think that's being to nice
