“Great value for Money”

Hotel Marin Dream is a modernly furnished hotel with a great location. Our room was very clean and a little bit on the compact side. Had all the necessary modern conveniences such as TV, air conditioning and fridge but WIFI access was in the lobby only. However, there is also a desktop computer in the lobby for guest to use. Breakfast had a great range with cereals, salads and hot food and was served in an amazing room overlooking the port/ Iraklion fortress. Would definitely stay again as it's great value for money and very close to the main shops.

“Excellent location,service and superb breakfast included in tariff”

5 mins walk from bus station in centre of town and 2mins to waterfront. Free internet and courteous helpful service. Top floor restaurant has superb sea views as do some rooms. Has an elevator to the 6 floors.Reception is efficient and helpful to new arrivals.Rooms were comfortable without being opulent but all services worked well including TV. An excellent breakfast buffet included in the tariff and some 5 star hotels could learn from this when trying to add a breakfast charge.

The room was very basic and the bed hard. The surrounding are so beautiful it is hard to imagine wanting to stay inside. I was awakened each night by the party crowd, and the walls were so thin it was hard to not hear every word they said. The breakfast provided was satisfactory and service prompt. Until the last day I had a change of towels. The bottom floor rooms do not offer a view. Nights in the spring can be chilly and there was no heater in the room. Fortunately an extra blanket was provided. If you are looking for a room, this can meet your needs.

The hotel was nice!! Good location and nice service. The room was better than I thought.

“Great location - close to harbor, shops, restaurants, and historical sites”

Great little hotel in a very convenient location overlooking the port of Heraklion and the Sea of Crete and a 500 year old Venetian fort. Wonderful staff and good food at a very reasonable price. Short walk to a shopping district with numerous stores and restaurants. Great room; clean and with a good air conditioner and a balcony. We had a corner room which offered views on two sides. Super fast free internet connection. About 15 minutes form the airport without traffic (4AM). Due to the nearness of the airport, planes did fly overhead, but there were not too many and the noise from them was not too bad. There is no hotel on the waterfront that is not affected by this. For a relatively large city, Heraklion was clean and felt safe. I would definitely stay here again.

“Close to transport links”

I spent three nights in Iraklio in the Marin Dream, as a base for seeing some of the main attractions of Crete (Knossos, Rethymno and Chania). My room was clean, comfortable with all of the usual fixtures. It's big plus was that it was less than a five minute walk from the main bus station, for busses to Knossos, the airport, and other towns in Crete. Although they were long days it was very easy to travel, even to Chania, for day trips. On the down side there is not really any where to eat near to the hotel, but Iraklio is not a big place and the main restaurant and cafe areas were only about ten minutes away.

“Perfect for our needs”

Perfect location for our needs. We stayed one night and left the next morning for Chania. The bus station was a 5 minute walk back towards the harbor. Staff was friendly with a great sense of humor. Super breakfast buffet but get there early. Only downfal lwas that the bed was right next to one wall.

A terrific location for ease of departure to the Greek islands. Marvellous view from the dining room!
