Why no reading lights by the bed - only that horrible overhead light? Does no one need a bedside light anymore? Also, having the property call a taxi for you is a rip-off. I was charged 10 euro for what was a 4 euro trip the day before. Do they have some kind of deal going? A total rip off. Staff was nice, but with the negatives, I wouldn't stay there again.

Modern boutique
Lovely, friendly hotel 100yds from the centre of the city. Breakfast was lovely but a little limited as I can’t eat dairy. Very modern rooms with very good Wi-Fi, safe at an extra charge and a sun terrace on the roof.

Great hotel for a quick stopover in Heraklion. Comfy beds and friendly staff. The streets around are quite narrow so if you plan on having a rental car, just be aware.

Good value hotel, in a quiet but central location
We stayed at the Kasteo hotel twice. First for two nights , then stored our luggage there and returned in two days for two more nights. The second visit we stayed in the fifth floor that had been completely renovated. It was beautifully redone with séparer shower and toilet rooms, large closet and very comfortable king-sized bed. We also had a bit of a view of the sea from up there.

Excellent City Centre Hotel
2nd stay at this lovely City centre hotel. Staff are great and rooms very clean. Good beds and A/C. Lovely roof terrace to catch the sun too. Breakfast not the best but the location more than makes up for any shortcomings. 1 minute and you are in the centre and close to the port. We will be back again

This hotel is central and the room was lovely and modern. My bed was so comfortable and the place was so clean. Everyone who works here is so hospitable. They were always willing to help and answer my questions. The breakfast was on point also. I was so sad to leave but will definitely be back.

Excellent price-quality ratio
Kastro Hotel has an excellent price-quality ratio. I felt really welcome, the room was nice, very clean and comfortable, it had everything to make me feel good. The bedding was perfect. There is a nice breakfast buffet included. The hotel is located in a quiet street and only a short distance from the city center where everything is… It was my second stay and whenever l need to stay in Heraklion l will go back there for sure.

Lovely room, it would be nice if it can be little bigger though. In addition nice, clean bathroom, working AC, VERY comfy beds. Convenient location, really close to city center, although in the quiet street. Lovely and helpful front desk and breakfast service! Very nice and unexpensive hotel for your stay in
Very good location, only steps away from the car free city center where you will find many restaurants and bars. The place is very clean, the amenities are good, it is quiet, the free breakfast is nice. The lady at the reception was really welcoming and efficient. The “price-quality” ratio for this hotel is excellent.

Second time in Heraklion and we didn't have to think twice where we would sleep. The hotel has great location inmidst the city centre with lively streets and uncountable eateries just around the corner but in a small quiet sidestreet at the same time. The breakfast is good and diverse, the staff competent and polite and the rooms clean. Great value for money.

Great value for your money
This hotel is a great stay for the value of your money! It was very clean, the breakfast was big consisted of wheat rusks, fresh baked croissants, Bread, delicious yogurts, ham and cheese slices, hard boiled egg, cereal and milk, chocolate muffins, Fresh squeezed orange juice and a latte. They serve it straight to your table. We will be booking this place when we leave Crete as well.

The location is perfect... the newly renovated rooms are very nice and modern. Very pleasant staff.. The only thing is the old fashion hairdryer... that needs to be change... other than that every thing is perfect.. i highly recommended.

Kastro Hotel sits as the face of modernity on a small quiet street in Heraklion. It was a pleasant surprise to be so quickly connected to some of the main streets and sights in the city (less than 5minutes walk) although it felt like it could have been miles away. Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent breakfast service Modern decor
