“My Crete Experience”

Staying at Filia hotel was a great choice the family run hotel was just what we ordered the serves was always 110% and we were welcomed with a drink at the bar and they really made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable and really there really is no complaints at all! Would definately recommend Filia hotel to anyone who holidays in Crete!

Area recommendations
We stayed in Stalis and its a vibrant area full of evening entertainment a range of restaurants that cater to all interests and budgets and the services and welcoming you recieve from the locals is excellent you will definately want to make a return trip for another holiday! We were sorry to leave.
Dining
Just a short 5 minute walk from Filia Hotel you are welcomed by a whole stretch of restaurants which will cater to all budgets and all pallets. Lively area full of people and a great atmospher and the locals are so welcoming and accomodating making you just want to go back again and again.

“Great place to stay”

George and Michael (two of the brothers who run the hotel) were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The third brother Billy (who runs the bar into the wee hours of the morning) could do with learning the meaning of personal space - he's harmless but was very drunk one night and got a little overly friendly with one of the girls in our group and she was quite upset about it. Ultimately we just used the hotel as a base as there are lots of nice places to go in Stalis and Hersonissos (a short bus ride away from just outside the hotel) so it was perfect. It's a 5 minute walk from the main town area and the beach.

Area recommendations
I would definitely recommend Hersonissos (especially an amazing Greek restaurant just off the town square called Lemonies - the man who runs it is an absolute gem!). We also did a day trip to Rethymnon which took about 2 and a half hours (you catch a bus to Heraklion and then another to Rethymnon) and it was absolutely beautiful. An amazing port town with a beautiful waterfront and castle ruins. Good shopping too!
Dining
Ask Michael to direct you to the authentic Greek Taverna just around the corner - the service is amazing, you're likely to be the only non-Greeks there, and the food is incredible. Jannes Golden Heart on the main street has a rooftop Garden and was by far our favourite place - the man who runs it cannot do enough for you and it is a lovely family-orientated restaurant with gorgeous Greek food. Once again, Lemonies in Hersonissos is also top notch.

“FILIA HOTEL MALIA CRETE”

certes, la crete au mois de mars, c'est quitte ou double. On était les seuls dans l'hotel, il faisait froid dans les chambres, mais sinon chambre tres propre, linge changé, minuscule salle de bain,
