“Radisson Seaside”
Very convenient with tram stop right outside the door. Awesome breakfast, eat as much as you like to keep you going all day.

Great hotel at a great price. Perfect location - close to the Central Station, Kampi, and the ferry to Stockholm and Estonia. The only negative was having to pay for TV. Who pays for CNN? Really seems extreme to try to make a couple of bucks on TV. No big deal - we weren't there much. Beautiful room and awesome breakfast. Seriously, just like a Sunday brunch. Nice area to run also.

Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Fantastic shower and great choice at breakfast. Really convenient for the city centre - tram stop right outside - and lovely to be by the waterfront. I'll be going back!
“Good choice”
Excellent room, nice ambiance, great breakfast (not a good choice if you are on a diet). The only problem of the hotel is location if you are sightseeing, it is a bit far from downtown area (almost 2 kilometers to the central station).
“Needs some quality control”
Conveniently sited for Helsinki's Lansi Satama (Western Harbour) and the Tallink sailings to Estonia, with views across the water and a tram stop just outside, but otherwise rather a trek from the city centre. Has many of the features expected of a Radisson Blu hotel, with comfortable rooms and useful touches like tea-making facilities. But it lets itself down in two respects. First, the potentially excellent breakfast is turned into a free for all at busy times as the room can scarcely cope with the numbers, and worse, there seems to be no effective organisation of the staff to ensure that basic supplies - plates, juice etc - are replenished without prompting. Secondly, check-out is a dreadfully slow and inefficient process, with insufficient desk staff and, in the absence of any hall porter or equivalent, no means of segregating those checking out from those seeking information on how to spend a wet Monday in Helsinki. A hotel that would be dramatically improved by the appointment of a Swiss-trained hotel manager for a couple of months.

We called the front desk about our room being hot when we checked in and they brought us a plug-in fan. I woke up damp with sweat ever day.
