“Modern, quiet hotel in central location”
My room had recently been redecorated & although on thesmall side, the use of light wood furniture, glass screens and placing bed at an angle all made the room feel very spacious. Excellent bathroom with bath and shower. Hotel is clean, bright, with good restaurant - magnificent breakfasts. Staff at reception could not be more helpful. They speak perfect English too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone; it was delightful.
“Excellent hotel, would definitely recommend”
Overall, an excellent hotel, in an excellent location - just yards from the main station, and only a few minutes walk from the harbour, main shops, and most of the key sites. Nice big room, helpful staff, as much as you could possibly want to eat at breakfast. And although its very central, its actually in a very quiet street, so no noise disturbance. Would thoroughly recommend.
“Good quality hotel in a very convenient location.”
Blu Radisson is very close to the station and the FinnAir transport stop. It is well appointed with a good quality of accomodation. Staff were friendly and we had no complaints. Book it...you wont have a problem.
“Good location, quiet, comfortable”
Very nice hotel and a great location. Although it is right next to the station the area is quite nice and not at all noisy, still only 10 mins walk to Market Square and on most tram routes. The rooms were bright, well maintained and comfortable, with great bed and pillows and very quiet at night so I had 2 great nights' sleep! Breakfast was fine, the usual spread of stuff. They did have a special (decorated, lower height) breakfast buffet area for children to help themselves, which was a nice touch. Only hitch was that we had booked two single rooms and when we checked in they gave us just one (corrected immediately and with a nice apology when we pointed it out). And the next day my room wasn't service till I asked (early evening), turned out the next day on check-out that they thought I had only stayed one night! Presumably this was related to the original booking confusion, but it wasn't an issue anyway, everything was corrected without a fuss. I would definitely stay here again, it was the nicest hotel for this price bracket that I have stayed in in Scandinavia
“High Quality Hotel”
The hotel is centrally based, clean and friendly. Only downfall they need more receptionists at the desk when checking in and out. Its not one the best radisson hotels, but is still of high standards.

Only problem was the 'bunfight' breakfast buffet. very crowded, but breakfast excellent
“A real gem in the heart of Helsinki”
We had 3 nights stay in July 2011 - our room was spacious with all the conveniences you would expect from a hotel of this calibre. We paid a very good rate too. The breakfast buffet selection was excellent, definitely something to suit every taste. Hot food was consistently hot and service was prompt and efficient. The location was perfect, a minute or so from the railway station and the bus to the Western harbour. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance of the hotel. I'd highly recommend the Radisson Blu Plaza.
“Good value hotel, excellent location.”
The hotel is in a perfect location - within minutes of the station (where airport buses arrive). It is a pretty standard business, city hotel - clean and convenient. Breakfast was gorgeous - lots of choice to satisfy every taste! Staff very helpful and friendly. Only gripe was the air conditioning/fan at night time -very noisy and couldn't turn it off. Overall, would return anytime.
“Centrally located hotel”
Can walk everywhree-even up to the olympic stadium. Breakfast is vast but one particular waitress was a bit of a cow and doesn't let you take anything out of the dining room. Food isnt cheap- we tried the kuukuu resto near the National Museum of Finland (NMF) and the hare was v. good. Also tried soup at the indoor market hall near the harbour. Excellent. And went to Savaata resto, near the hotel, log cabin type rest. Again very good. 2 courses at most places cost 25-35EURs but quality of food is good. Avoid things like tex mex. Dont bother with Kaisa museum- 8EUR to spend 10mins. The NMF is surprisingly good.
“Great location”
This hotel is extremely well located - right next to the railway station and the bus station (where you catch a bus to the airport), so very, very convenient for transport and shopping. They also have a big buffet breakfast, so you can fill up for the day. The rooms are quiet, big and comfortable.
