“HOtel in Espoo on the bay”
This is nice hotel for business travelers. It is fairly new, clean and neat. The breakfasts are full and nice. It is surrounded by the technical university and near various locations in Espoo. Bus line run very nearby. The hotel is on the bay and is a good rest area away from downtown.
“Fine for business travel”
Very comfortable, good food. I used it because it's near where my meeting was the next day (and I will use it again), but if you have more time to kill, it's not really near anything else.
“Radisson Blu Espoo”
I booked this hotel by mistake. I thought it was closer to the centre of Helsinki. In some ways it was fortunate that I did make the mistake. The area around the hotel is very tranquil with no traffic. If you are on a driving holiday this would be the hotel to stay at in Helsinki with plenty of free parking. Otherwise, from the hotel its a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and 20 minute bus trip to the Helsinki centre. The buses run about every 20 minutes. The area around the hotel is wonderful, with lots of trees and the lake about 20 meters from the front door. There's a shopping centre about 10 minutes walk from the hotel where you can buy enough food for a picnic lunch or dinner and then sit by the lake and enjoy. Breakfast at the hotel was excellant. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were exceptionaly helpful with information on bus routes and tourist information. The wifi internet was free. I would stay here again.
“Moyen pour un 4*, mais pratique si on travaille tout prêt”
13 jours dans l'hôtel, calme et au bord de l'eau. Restaurant italien, pas mal, avec une carte immobile, et un poisson du jour qui est le même pendant 2 semaines. Service de qualité variable. Design vieillot malgré la rénovation. Chambre ok. Vélos à disposition. Sauna et piscine. Pas de salle de sport. Loin de tout (taxi pour Helsinki, 24 euros). Bons prix avec l'agence.

“Typisches Business Hotel in schöner, ruhiger Lage”
Nah an Helsinki aber viel ruhiger direkt am Wasser gelegenes Hotel - hier lassen sich direkt schöne Spaziergänge am Ufer machen, auch sind Badestellen erreichbar, falls man mal kurz ins Wasser springen möchte. Man hört den Lärm der Großstadt Helsinki über das Wasser und ein paar dazwischenliegende (Halb-)Inseln und kann ahnen, wie laut es dort sein muss. Dabei ist das Hotel nur wenige Autominuten von Helsinki entfernt; auch mit dem Fahrrad ließe sich Helsinki gut erreichen. Mehrere Buslinien verkehren zwischen Espoo und Helsinki, es gibt günstige Zeitkarten, z.B. Helsinki und Espoo 12 € / 24h. Die Ausstattung ist wie für Radisson blu Hotels üblich: Leicht gestylt, zweckmäßig, die Betten und Sessel im Zimmer sind bequem. In unserem ersten Zimmmer tropfte es im Badezimmer aus der Deckenklappe zur Klimaanlage, worauf wir sofort ein anderes Zimmer bekamen. Beide Zimmer hatten einen schönen Blick auf Bäume und Wasser, die Klimaanlage ließ sich gut regulieren und für die Nacht leise stellen; trotz Klimaanlage ließen sich auch die Fenster öffnen. WLAN mit Internet-Zugang steht im ganzen Hotel kostenlos zur Verfügung, auch auf den Zimmern. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und reichhaltig mit den üblichen Bacon&Eggs, Sausages, Tomaten, Früchten, Joghurts, Müsli, Toast, Croissants, großer Brötchenauswahl etc., das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Meine Tochter und ich haben uns in dem Hotel wohlgefühlt und würden es bei einem erneuten Besuch in Helsinki wieder buchen.
“Hotel relativ alt und abgenutzt...”
...jedenfalls im Vergleich zu anderen Radisson Hotels in denen ich bisher war. Hotel ist sauber, Frühstück ist gut. Funktional alles OK. Besonders hat mich gestört, dass die Zimmer total überheizt waren und man die Temperatur vom Zimmer aus nicht regulieren konnte. Ich habe dann im finnischen Herbst Nachts mit offenen Fenster geschlafen... nicht so toll. Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis ist (noch) OK.
