“Convenient”
Central, close to airport bus stop, opposite the main railway station and walking distance to harbour. But a bit tired and could do with a facelift.
“Good Hotel, best room in the whole Hotel is Room 516. Ask for it when you book.”
Every room and bathroom is of a different size being an old building converted to a Hotel. Best room in the house is room number 516. It is large and with a large sized bathroom. All other rooms and bathrooms are slightly smaller. Excellent Hotel. Loved it.
“Great style, great location”
Stylish hotel in great location.
“Nice stay in Helsinki”
I like this hotel very much. The long hotel has over one hundred history. Its location is very convenient. The price is reasonable.
“Do not stay here during the summer”
Do not stay in this Hotel during the summer. It was hot in the rooms and although you can open the windows, the street noise was too much to sleep through. The little fan they put in the room is little consolation. Also, the fabulous dining room was closed for dinner because of the thin staffing during the summer. I was really disappointed the website didn't tell us the restaurant would be closed. The rooms were a little dirty too.
“Convenient for walking in the city and departing by train”
It was as expected. Nice staff, good bed and nice clean bathroom. We departed by train and the Hotel is across the street from the train station. Very convenient.
“A lovely hotel”
An excellent hotel, in great position near the railway station in the centre of town, and within walking distance of the esplanade and harbour. The hotel is beautifully decorated, but unpretentious and comfortable. The staff were not just helpful but kind. We checked in at midday on a Saturday, and we were due to take a very early train from Helsinki to St Petersburg early on Sunday, before breakfast started. Without even being asked, the manager who happened to be standing near the desk when we checked in, ordered us a packed breakfast, which was ready for us when we left the next morning. We stayed at this hotel again when we got back to Helsinki, and it would be our choice whenever we go there again.
“Perfectly nice”
Great hotel and nice people. Location was perfect, breakfast wasn't amazing but certainly adequate.
“spotless and central.definitely recomended”
spotless hotel with comfortable rooms.there was a large lift that was quite speedy, so even though we were on the 4th floor, we could go up and down quickly. the breakfast was satisfying and had a variety of foods for all tastes.the staff were very helpful
“I'll be back!”
The staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was very clean and the room was excellent. The hotel itself is in the heart of the city, with trams and busses running right past the front door, which made it easy to get to antwhere in the city. Even so it was not very noisy. It ws quite 'elegant' in an old fashioned sort of way, but the atmosphere was informal and relaxed. The buffet style breakfast was good, with plenty to suit all tastes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
