Excellent hotel; but restaurant is over-priced, particularly the Sushi restaurant, will the all-you-can eat Wednesday evening sushi with very limited choice and priced at 45 US a person (including tax and mandatory service charge), which is more than the cost at far superior places in the US or Canada. In general, restaurants and bars are over-priced for what you get. Remainder of Hotel is superb.
Stayed for one night prior to a morning flight out and wished we had stayed longer. Staff was very attentive and the hotel was amazing. Shower head didn't quite work properly, but that was not a big deal at all as there was a removable one available that worked perfectly. Room was very clean, super large, and comfortable. I saw in other reviews that noise was an issue but was a non issue for me. I would stay here again any time! On a side note, our cab driver thought it was at the City Stars mall, so make sure to clarify it is at Sun City. I highly recommend this hotel as it is one of the nicest I have ever in which I have stayed!
Found the bar staff, (one in particular), quite rude. He had the audacity, when I paid my bill and mentioned that I found the drinks a little expensive, to say; " it doesn't really matter does it anyway, because your Company will be paying for it " !
I actually own my own Company, and if this is the attitude, I may not encourage further stays at this hotel.
We enjoyed out stay here for 10 days. the room was large and comfortable beds and pillows. the room was clean. Furniture was OK but dated a little. they have a safe and free wired internet in the room. I took my wireless router with me and enjoyed my own wifi in the room. I liked the hotel security. they checked every car driving up to the lot.
they have a currency exchange shop in the lobby, underground garage, good restaurant and a coffee shop. It was pleasant stay and we would book it again.
Overall it was a great experience although I would have appreciated it more if the AC in the room at worked and if the gym had been air conditioned. Breakfast also should be included (for the rather steep cost) but it is not.
The northeast district of Cairo, Heliopolis is home to the Egyptian Presidential Palace and to Baron Empain Palace, a Hindu-style palace built entirely of concrete. Many traditional and modern cafés and restaurants can be found along the broad avenues of Heliopolis.
