“Turchian”

I have been in December 2010 and I was very impressed about this hotel. STAFF WAS VERY FRENDLY. Room was clean, pozision of the hotel superb (specialy winther time). Very close to tain station to go to Chamonix town. Very, very happy with this place.......

“Under renovation at the moment”

the room should be really nice when the renovation is done. It is facing the lake of geneva and the view is magnificent. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Montreux with restaurants nearby. The heating was a bit frustrating during our stay as it stays at 20C (which was too warm for me).

“Beautiful location”

We got the 'Mont Blanc' view room for the price of a forest view room: the view was spectacular. The location is nice, but the noise of the highway down in the valley is significant. The saff intervened very adequately when guests in the room nextdoor me too much noise and were smoking.

Don't forget to visit the wildlife park a few kilometers up the mountain!

“I would visit again”

When place has the warmth of a ski resort (actually it is a ski resort, but we were there in the late spring). The food is wonderful but a bit pricey. Unlike most places we stayed in Europe, breakfast was not included in the room rate. The rooms were small by American standards, but very nice. There is bar on site. The managers spoke English very well and was very helpful in helping us plan nearby events. Mont Blanc is less than 15 minutes from the hotel.

“Too far out of town.”

This hotel was most comfortable & staff most helpful and polite, but unfortunately we were relying on public transport. I would sugest that if you were staying here make sure that you are aware how to get there from the airport(Do not rely on Hotel Directions) and indeed from Les Houches town. There are No taxis based in town so we had a walk in thick snow and it was very dark with our cases up a steep hill to the hotel. We were on a ski trip and the hotel only supplied transport into town for 1 hour in morning & 1 hour home at the evening. There were certainly no late starts and we were unable to stay too long in town without having to walk home in Ski boots carrying skis!!

“Vue fantastique”

Vous le comprendrez en lisant les comptes-rendus: il faut prendre une chambre vue Mont-Blanc. Nous pouvions voir les sommets enneigés de notre lit! N'hésitez pas à acheter vos billets de la Compagnie du Mont-Blanc à la réception de l'hôtel: même prix et vous évitez les files d'attente aux caisses à Chamonix.

Area recommendations
Le village des Houches est tout près et on y trouve un supermarché, un pâtissier et quelques restos. Chamonix n'est qu'à quelques minutes en voiture. Pour le téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi: achetez vos billets à l'hôtel, roulez vers Chamonix, stationnez tout au bout du parking Grépon, prenez le passage piétonnier et sautez dans la file d'attente avant 9h le matin. Nous avons attendu moins de 15 minutes par un beau matin ensoleillé!

“Sympathique escale”

Une nuit passée dans cet hôtel confortable offrant des prestations attendues mais très correctes. Vue sur le Mont Blanc, depuis la chambre, on ne peut rêver mieux. Le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et varié. Une adresse à recommander.
