“Nice little hotel with a great location”

The hotel is small but clean and pleasant. Room was compact but ok for a short stay. There were renovations occuring around the entrance lobby so some facities were not available. The location is very convienet particualrly if arriving by train or bus, and only a very short walk to the old town centre. Staff were not particualrly helpful.

Area recommendations
The area around this hotel, very handy to the old town and water front and key transport. Quiet but convienient.
Getting there
I went to Annecy from Geneva for the weekend. There is a regular bus service from the Geneva Bus station direct to the Annecy Bus station, (which is outside the Annecy main railway station). No prior booking required. The geneva bus station has the full timetable on display. A good, cheap and efficient service.
Outdoors or beach
If you are into walking there are some great bush tracks quite close to town. Great places to go cycling around the lake as well.

“Ideal short stay hotel”

Just a few minutes level walk from the station (turn left on same street) this is a quiet, unpretentious hotel with comfortable air conditioned rooms of reasonable size for France. Bathroom small with only a shower, but adequate. Dining room has been refurbished making a very pleasant breakfast possible with a good cold buffet style choice. Staff very welcoming and, of course, all spoke perfect English if required. Location is excellent being close to all the attractions of this charming town which was certainly bustling with visitors during our stay and probably will be throughout the year. We would definately go back if in Annecy again.

Area recommendations
The lakeside is the great attraction, the views are stunning and a boat trip obligatory. The Old Town is a wonderful mix of buildings and alleyways crisscrossed by canals and waterways. Exploring on foot is easy and very much the essence of the visit. Everyone seems to eat in Annecy all the time, there are so many restaurants and bars to chose from. This has a downside as very few individual shops exist in the Old Town as a result and the area is full of tourists (including us!) However it is only a short stroll to the main shopping area if that's your thing. The Information Centre shares the new Theatre complex in the heart of the town and is worth an early visit , the staff are very helpful.

“Charming Hotel”

Annecy is a stunningly beautiful little town. The hotel was pretty comfortable and very well-located, 3-min walking distance to the train station and 5 min walk to the old town. The blonde receptionist on Saturday and Sunday was charming and quite helpful. However, the brunette at reception on weekdays was rather brusque and off-hand.

Area recommendations
I highly recommend hiking up nearby Mt Veyrier. The tourist info office has maps. Takes about 4-5 hrs return and the views of the lake and surrounding mountains are wonderful.

“Great hotel in a beautiful city!”

This hotel is very cozy, the staff are friendly (not great English speakers), the bathroom was large and perfectly clean. The room itself was tiny, but we expected that. The hotel was very quiet - great night rest! It is also located very very near the train station...3 minute walk, which we were pleased about. Only downfall is that it is not located near the lake or the old town, but after a short 10-15 minute walk, you are in the heart of Annecy. I would definitely stay there again.

“Comfortable and value for money”

The hotel is conveniently located about five minutes walk from the old town (and not too far train station if arriving by train). If you are driving and don't have a GPS, get a good map as Annecy's one way system is a nightmare. The staff were welcoming and the room was reasonably big and comfortable. Couldn't fault it at all and thought the hotel was extremely good value for money.

Good location, convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the Old Town for sight-seeing. Good quality and good value.

“hôtel allobroges : accessible à pied depuis la gare , près du lac et de la vieille ville”

chambre en fond de couloir très calme , hôtel situé dans un passage également au calme ; petit déjeuner bon et varié sous forme de buffet

venus en train , nous n'avons visité qu'à pied annecy , et fait 2 randonnées au dessus du lac au dessus de veyrier du lac et de sévrier

“Hotel Allobroges: pres de la Gare et des lieux interessants de la Vielle ville de Annecy”

Je crois que l´hotel Allobroges es un bon hotel pour le prix et aussi il permet aux hotes de se transporter très facilement à l´intérieur de la ville ou en voiture dans toutes les directions. On peut aller as la Gare SNCF en marchant at cela est une bonne qualité. Je récommande cet hotel aux voyajeurs qui cherchent un hotel propre et a bon prix.
