Great location with a view of the sea and about 15 mins walk to the old town. Very welcoming owners and immediately offering free car parking. Very clean and bed so comfortable that we noted its name in hope we could buy a mattress like it! Good advice about places to eat one of which was Jali, just a short walk from the hotel and extraordinarily good. Not just your usual vindaloo etc but food from around India and excellent. We travel every year to India and so are a little more discerning than perhaps others may be. This hotel is not luxury but provides all the basic needs at a very competitive price. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

The initial outside of the building was a bit of a shock, but once inside, my friend and I had a warm welcome , and were shown to our rooms.
This involved ascending quite a steep staircase, (no hand-rail!) where we found our rooms on two different floors. There was a shower in my room, the toilet was down three steps in the hall. My friend had a shower and toilet outside her room, but everything was spotless.
I am (luckily for me!) a fairly healthy 80 year-old, so managed to climb the stairs reasonably easily, but anyone less able might have a problem, whatever age they were., particularly if they were trying to carry cases up to their rooms.
The double bed was extremely comfortable, meaning I had a good sleep most nights, only being disturbed by the Delivery lorries going to the back of the big local stores at night.
We also used the Restaurant attached to the Town House Rooms, and enjoyed
delicious meals every evening.
We loved Hastings, and hope to visit again one day, and definitely will be staying at the Town House Rooms.
Very friendly staff. Very nice, comfortable room with a double bed and a single bed. clean and tidy bathroom. It was a cold and wet day so we were able to drive along the beach then come back and park the car in a special car park not far away.
With architecture ranging from Medieval to Victorian, Hastings sits on the coast of East Sussex. The court house is said to be built in the 1450s and Hastings castle, with ruins of its cloistered chapel and dungeons under the North Gate, looks down on the town and pier. Explore the narrow streets in Old Town or take a stroll through the parks, gardens, and museums filled with historic treasures.
