Well-located hotel, in close proximity to all sorts of Goteborg attractions, including the centralmost sector as well as the buzzing and colorful Haga district (seafood lovers: head for Sjobaren) and various art museums (the Rohaska has a splendid display of the history of interior design over two centuries). Breakfast buffet is terrific.
Decent rates, too. Staff are VERY helpful, and know the area.

"Excellent hotel, great theme and very charismatic"
Found it difficult to find as they had changed from Hotel Robinson to Hotel Pigalle and we did not receive any information about this. Excellent welcome, even better breakfast! Eating in the rooftop restaurant is a must, we went for the set menu - amazing! We stayed in a room that was yet to be updated, but having booked it under the previous owners, we were still awed by the rest of it. Staff even helped me find someone closely to fix my suitcase wheel, nothing was too much trouble.
I'm not saying this was cheap but it was very reasonable. The price would have been okay for a normal hotel but the Palace is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The decor is old fashion but brand new. I really feel like my words cannot describe just how nice it is. If you have cause to go to Gothenberg a stay at the Palace will make it a trip to remember. Trouble is you might not want to leave to go out and see the city.
"Excellent position; station & airport bus nearby"
Have stayed here before with family and on my own - always look forward to my visit to Sweden which includes staying at Radisson hotel after flight from U.K. and before I travel next day by train to visit family.
"Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff"
Although this is a very large hotel, each guest was treated very well by the reception staff and others. The corridors looked sterile, but hid a very well set out room with adequate room for sleeping, and a fantastic shower! The hotel had a large group of school children as well as a conference, but still managed to keep the breakfast buffet well stocked with food for every taste and catered well for those with lactose and gluten allergies. Well located near the railway station, we enjoyed this hotel very much.
The staff were all really helpful and accomadating ..I also like a lot that our room was very functionable .ie: there were places to put your suitcase to unpack/pack it and still move around the room and to then store it out of the way ...I would stay here again in a minute !
