Badly in need of renovation almost everywhere
One toilet for bar not working
I arrived at 2.30pm but I was not allowed into my room until 3.0pm. Most inconvenient but the manager confirmed I could not have access. Not right after along journey. Most hotels have room entry at 12 noon
No food apart from breakfast
One glass of Chardonnay £9!
Overall a good hotel in an excellent location. We were in the basement room - although it did warn on the website that there may be some noise, be aware that the room is directly below the restaurant so there is constant noise of people walking around and chairs being moved until after midnight, and then again from 5.30/6am when breakfast is set up. Very noisy indeed.
If you can cope with that, the room was clean and comfortable. It is, however, so dark, even with the lights on, that it was impossible to read. The brightest lights are actually inside the wardrobe!
I would stay at the hotel again as the overall service was good - but definitely not in the same room.
"great location, lovely clean hotel, very pleasant "
Me and hubby stayed for one night in may, its a lovely clean hotel, the breakfast was wonderful, and the dining room is cosy and quirky, if you need extra milk etc for your room, there is a table in the living room downstairs with extra supplies on, there is also cans of pop and water for you to purchase, and if no one is about, just leave your £1 on the table, or do what we did and pay the day after. It was a very pleasant stay, and we would definitely stay again if we were to visit Harrogate.
Hotel and room were of a high standard. Spacious, clean room. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location - Ten minute walk to town centre. Nice lounge and dining room. Lovely choice of food for breakfast. Lovely evening meals available in restaurant.
