“Staybridge - Hershey trip”

The hotel was comfortable. Pros - Had coffee available 24X7. Nice staff Cons: Not a suitable location if visiting Hershey. It is about 30 mins from the park.

“Weekend getaway”

Hotel was very clean. The toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. The rooms themselves could have been made a little larger. It was cramped for 5 of us. There were 2 double beds and a sofa bed. The only bathroom was off of the bedroom and there was no door to the sink area. Not very much privacy for 5 people. Staff very prompt and nice.

Area recommendations
Hershey Park was very nice. Lots of shade to stay out of the heat. Great water park area.
Getting there
Roads are very confusing, especially at night. Not off the main drag.

“Quite Nice”

It was very cold when I first got to the room, uncomfortably so- that's the only reason for the lower rating for comfort of the room. Other than that the facilities were really wonderful. Clean and new, very nice overall. Location is okay, a little far from the rest of Harrisburg but not a long drive at all. Oh, and I was also quite impressed with the hot breakfast- was pretty yummy and the staff were great.

“not a very clean room sheets dirty and bathroom dirty”

The location of this hotel was good but the room maintenance was sub standard. One of our beds had sheets soil with blood from previous guest. The tub, toilet, and bathroom as a whole had not been cleaned. The carpet and furniture was a little sticky and the dvd player was not operating. Truly not impressed with conditions for the price. The night clerk on the other hand was exceptional and went out of her way to make us comfortable and correct the issues stated above. I felt a little torn to write this review but I don't believe I would use this hotel again do to the filthy conditions we endured.

“Best bang for your buck!”

Wow! This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! Very friendly and cheerful staff! Very clean! The beds were firm and comfortable and the rooms -our 15 month old toddler ran around barefoot - and the bottom of her feet were CLEAN! There is a complimentary full course breakfast and on Tuesdays thru Thursdays there is a complimentary light dinner...We didn't even get to use the kitchen in our room - which was very clean! It was a full house at the hotel - many families with children! The hotel is about 25 minutes to Hershey Park. During rush hour, it'll take almost 1 hour to get there!

“Very pleasantly surprised at the great quality for a most reasonable price!!”

Accomodations were great for a modest price. I was apprehensive of the quality of the room for the price. But, unbelievably and most pleasantly surprised at the quality upon my arrival. I didn't get a chance to partake of the complimentary breakfast, but it looked great as I passed by the dining area. There is no doubt that this will be my first choice when I return to the Harrisburg area.

“Very good experience”

I thoroughly enjoyed the Staybridge. The accomodations were excellant. The staff was helpful. A far better free breakfast than a lot of hotels. The only detraction was the neighborhood. I selected it because it was close to the client. Not much to do nearby.

Area recommendations
I spent most of my time in the Progress area and took a side trip to Hershey to see Chocolate World. Pretty good but not enough to warrant traveling just to see those areas.
Traveller's tip
I ran into two great restaurants. The Progress Grill on Progress Avenue. The Prime Rib was awesome. The setting was upscale even though the outside of the "Grill" was nothing exciting. Secondly I went to a hole in the wall called the Glass Lounge on Front Street. The servings were huge and the flavor was awesome. I had a 27 oz. Steak that serverd as Dinner, midnight snack and breakfast.

“Right beside the Farm Show Complex”

I will definitely stay here every time we have to be at the Farm Show Complex for more than one day. You can see the hotel from the parking lot and it is a very nice place to stay.

“very nice”

i enjoy staying in staybridge hotels as they are typically quite nice. unfortunately, the pool was closed for most of our visit
