“Really high standard”

Well positioned hotel within 5 minutes walk of railway station and centre of town Billed as a business hotel but we were there to see our son who is spending a year at the university. Breakfast is 17 euros, go across the road and have a good breakfast for 7 euros or even Karstadt dept store in town does wonderful meals. Room was clean and comfortable and warm and modern Free Wifi a bonus Coffee machine in room uses pods (Tassimo) but no breakfast tea, only mint and herbal and coffee=small grumble If we had to go back I would definitely choose same hotel

“Good hotel but expensive breakfast”

Good quality, quiet and comfortable hotel, away from the noisier areas of the city but still within easy reach of the centre and Herrenhausen Gardens. The only disappointment was the breakfast - 17 euros - it was more expensive than my evening meal there the night before!!! And the croissants were stale. Its cheaper to go across the road to the Cafe Alex, where you can get their breakfast buffet for 8 euros.

Getting there

If arriving from the Airport by public transport, take the S-Bahn to Hannover/Nordstadt then tram 6, two stops in the Messe/Ost direction to Christuskirche, then a three minute walk - just walk round the church, cross the road, and its on the left about a couple of minutes walk opposite Cafe Alex.

“Very Good Hotel”

Well appointed hotel, clean and smart. Staff very pleasant, no trouble printing our return tickets. Good sized room. Quiet location. On the downside, the hotel restaurant was well overpriced, so we did not use it. There is a bar/restaurant almost opposite called Alex, which was reasonably priced and acceptable standard with a good choice of menu. The other thing we found annoying was "elevator" music playing in the corridor outside the room from 7am to 10pm, this could be heard from within the room - 7am on a Sunday is no joke! On the whole a very nice hotel, which one could recommend.

Area recommendations

The town centre is good, with many high quality shops and stores, plenty of bars and restaurants. Railway Station centrally postioned, so easy transport to city centre from Airport. We went in cold weather and there are plenty of warm malls/shops.

Getting there

Easy flight from England. Train from Airport to city Centre no problem, reasonably priced, all trains from Airport go to the City Centre, so you can't go wrong.

Shopping

Loads of shops, large and small, something for everyone.

“The place to stay in Hannover!”

Very clean and tidy, the staff very attentive and knowledgable. Excellent local beer in the bar. Only drawback is the lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room. Excellent value for money and would certainly go back.

Easy walk to the city centre, just turn left out of the hotel and keep going - 10 minutes max!

“Super Place to Stay in Hannover”

Great hotel near to the shopping and city centre. In a quiet part of the city. Definitely recommended. Room was clean and fresh. Not overly large, but that doesn't really matter. Friendly reception helped us out with maps and directions.

Sunday brunch across the street at Alex's restaurant is highly recommended.

“Good centrum hotel”

Good and satisfactory enough against the room rate. The most advantage is very close to city centrum. The only negative thing is the cost of breakfast is high versus room rate.

Das Hotel Mercure Mitte liegt sehr zentral, aber trotzdem ruhig. Die Zimmer sind gut und komfortabel eingerichtet . Es ist alles sehr durchdacht angeordnet, ob Bad oder Zimmer.

“Zentral und doch sehr ruhig”

Ein sauberes und zur Fußgängerzone nahe gelegendes Hotel was man immer und überall weiter empfehlen kann. Das Zimmer war klasse und auch groß genug. Das einzige was etwas stört, ist der Preis für die Tiefgarage. Dieser könnte etwas preiswerter sein.

Zu Fuß o. den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ist vom Hotel aus alles gut zu erreichen.

“Gutes, zentral gelegenes Hotel.”

Das Hotel ist optimal für die Erkundung von Hannover, da es relativ zentral gelegen ist. Der Bahnhof als auch die nächste U-Bahnstation sind in 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. In 10-15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Fußgängerzone zum Einkaufen. Der Service war sehr gut, das Personal nett und hilfsbereit und es war auch sehr sauber.
