However, the front lobby concierge person was helpful & cheerful enough to offset all these hiccups experience.
Hotel in a great location near the Bund and well priced. Décor old fashioned and staff a bit grumpy. Fitness centre equipment mostly not working. Breakfast average. Room clean and comfortable. Worth it for the location.

This was a great hotel with everything at your fingertips. I have stayed in about 40 different hotels in China and this was by far one of the best!!! Luxury and quality from the room to the restaurants contained within... The only improvement that could be made for an "international" hotel is to have the front desk employees speak/understand English better. Luckily I know enough Chinese to get by, but it may be challenging for someone who does not speak any Chinese. However, the staff was very eager to please and figure out my needs. Great Hotel!!!!
