went for sight seeing visit to London with my brother and 2 young nephews really impressed with this hotel poss a little far out than first thought - but short taxi ride cleared that up we had a double double room and it is lovely, clean, comfortable and well decorated we are able to book in upon our arrival in the morning, which was great the cafe and restaurant for breakfast was great - all good quality, still with London prices, but hey the pool is lush too
For the money I paid when I booked it I was expecting something very basic but it was extremely clean, comfortable and professionally run. The bar was lively and busy in the evening but quiet enough to enjoy a good catch up with some friends in the area. I had taken my niece with me as she was auditioning at a stage school nearby the following morning. She felt very comfortable and loved the room.
Really enjoyed staying here. Rooms are capacious and peaceful.
Relaxing, calm, clean, organised and efficient service offered consistently during the stay.
I appreciated the attention to high quality details when I stayed.
Overall, I enjoyed the stay and recommend.
The 3 star rated Dillons Hotel is situated in Hampstead, 6 to 8 minutes walk from both Swiss Cottage and Belsize Park …More
Stayed a full week in early October, just the wife and I.
Easy to find, five minute walk from the Tube station.
Checked it out on google street view first so when we came off the tube it seemed as if we'd been there before and knew right where to go and exactly what to look for.
There is a flight of steps up to the office with no handicap access that I noticed.
We stayed in a smallish flat with a kitchenette, up an additional flight of stairs.
I believe there was just one more floor above us.
No lifts, but no problem with that for me.
Room was just what we needed; a place to sleep, eat, and poo.
Nothing grand by any stretch but was a good home base to return to in a nice area after trekking around London for the day.
There is a market just off the Tube stop that served all our grocery needs just nicely.
The only con I can think of would be that you have to pay for Wi-Fi at the Welby.
We just went to the "Pret" for a cuppa and to check in back home via Wi-Fi as needed, they are ubiquitous in the greater London area.
We were on a budget and this filled the bill nicely.
In case you were unaware, London is an expensive place to visit.
