The hotels were pretty much fully booked the weekend we went, so I chose a B&B. Abbey Lodge was ideally placed for
meeting friends in Bedford Place and was excellent value. The owner/manager that we met at check-in was very
friendly and the room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Our only gripe was the check-out at 10am on a Sunday! We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but it smelt nice!!
Still, will definitely consider the next time I'm in Southampton.
What a really nice place to stay and dine in. The sea views from the dining areas were breath-taking. Superb accommodation with everything you need. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and as for the restaurant....well I have never eaten in such a marvellous place, the atmosphere was brilliant the food was divine and once again the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be returning.
This is a good guest house situated in a private estate near to Emsworth centre. Its within its own secured area so parking is no problem and is very secure. Its a family house but the rooms are large and comfortable with TV etc.,
Its ideal for visitors who are exploring Emsworth or the surrounding area of Hampshire and West Sussex border.
large country house off a lane so nice and quiet with no traffic noise nice views over Andover , plenty of parking in the grounds.

We reached the Blue Keys Hotel after an 18-hour air travel ordeal, and were initially intimidated by the lack of air conditioning and a steep, narrow stairway climbing two flights to our room. But once there, what a delight. The room was cozy, bright and airy with fully opening windows admitting a lovely breeze with a pedestal fan to keep the air moving. It was very quiet with only an occasional ship's whistle from the port or a screech owl in the night. Our host Kelly was most helpful, lugging our heavy suitcases up the stairs and then delivering a late lunch to the room. The food was delicious and the apple and forest berry crumble with custard sauce was one of the best deserts ever. We slept in and so missed the full, cooked breakfast. The hotel is a 115 year old building, located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. With the restaurant on he first floor, it is an ideal choice for pre-cruise stays.
Family friendly, warm, caring, interested, hard working and diligent staff made our trip. The crèche was lovely with capable warm caring nannies. The spa was lovely and offered a range of fab
