“Gem of a hotel - an absolute bargain that exceeded all of our expectations!”

We've just returned from a one-night "last minute" stay at Warbrook House which we booked via Expedia. We really just wanted a night away from the children in relatively tranquil surroundings and frankly, couldn't afford to pay too much for the privilege! After reading a few of the reviews for this hotel, we decided to make a reservation, but based on some of the feedback, we were prepared for a fairly mediocre experience..how very wrong we were! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the attentiveness of every member of staff that we met - from the friendly receptionist to the professional barman via the friendly and efficient chap who kindly brought us extra pillows minutes after we phoned reception to request them. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner in the bar was delicious and breakfast was hot, plentiful and excellently prepared and served in the elegant restaurant. Our room was clean and comfortable (particularly with the additional pillows!) and had everything we could wish for. In every way a first rate experience - we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
