Nice hotel in beautiful surroundings

Posted 07-Jun-2014
Booked the room for a one night stay, a single which was very reasonably priced. It was in Fir Tree Court, not the main building, which was a short walk away, which was fine as the weather was great, but might not be ideal in winter. The room was pretty small, basically an attic room, but due to some clever use of space managed to provide all the facilities that you would expect. If you are tall, however, watch your head in the bathroom. Breakfast is in the main house, buffet style, tasty, with an excellent selection

Great venue, awful bed

Posted 19-May-2014
Pros: We!come, bar food was good.
Cons: The bed...please
Location: Name of the road would be helpful....in that part of Hook. There were 3 church lanes.
Made very welcome, but the bed left a lot to be desired. Not comfortable, very lumpy, no support at all. Premier Inns have great mattresses.... Perhaps they could be the same...? .

Nice hotel set in pleasant grounds.

Pros: Lovely setting and very convenient for planned itinerary.
Cons: Stronger Wi Fi signal within some areas of The Fir Trees complex.
Location: Convenient travelling distance throughout Hampshire, including south coast. Also, excursions into Berkshire or Surrey eg RHS Wisley.
Enjoyed our stay of three nights accommodation at Highfield Park. Small yet pleasant room with nice outlook. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Well presented bar area and dining/breakfast room. Satisfactory breakfast - self service.

Worth the extra miles out of the way to stay!!

Posted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: It has a great choice of rooming. For me being disabled, the budget single rooms were the best designed hotel rooms within a budget with fab views.
Location: If I need to book the venue for a large gathering of people from afield I would like more details and timetables
We attended a weekend training event in Farnborough. As a treat for us Londoners after the winter, I booked Highfield Park's budget single rooms for us three. It was a great, straightforward 12 mile drive mainly through woods and overarching trees along the route in the dark; upon arriving, we were entranced by the main building and our single rooms in a beautiful 'stable-style' outbuilding. The buffet breakfast in a lovely dining room, fab staff, overlooking great vistas of the country, persuaded me to consider future books for a family gathering and a training event. We felt valued as Deaf guests, a key element about how much we enjoyed our overnight stay.

Fantastic value fo rmoney

I often stay at De Vere Venues when they have their special offers on as it is such good value for money. My room was in the Fir Tree Outbuilding and was comfortable and clean with everything I could need. Very good choice of food available in the bar at reasonable cost and breakfast was excellent value for money. I will continue to look out for De Vere Venues and stay at them when the price is within my expenses budget

Great location and room

I was fortunate enough to get a bargain place. The hotel is very nice - good service and comfortable rooms. The feel is definitely towards the higher end for hotels at this price and the location and grounds are excellent.
