“Good for business and pleasure”
Cannot fault the hotel. Three minute walk into the old town and only a few minutes from the Cruise Liner docks.... although you don't see them.
“Business Trip”
Hotel was nice, and the staff friendly, but it could have been cleaner in places - some black mould on grouting in bathroom, dust by skirting board etc. No bottled water in room but the hotel was quiet and I slept well. I felt really safe too. The gym had lots of equipment in it but it was really busy from 6pm onwards and like the pool, felt like the facilities were not exclusive to hotel guests. Just seemed a bit too busy for the size of the facilities. The stairs which led down into the pool/Jacquzi area, the underside could have done with a paint, as the rust was very visible and did put you off, which other wise could have been a nice area.
“Place to stay”
The De Vere looks to be the place to stay in Southampton. Both service and location were quite satisfactory. Great location for a pre or post-cruise visit.

“Nice hotel - unfortunate circumstances”
I requested a room with view on the harbour, specifically to see the Independence of the Seas at dock 101.. In return, received a room on the 2nd floor on the side, right above the garbage containers, where a truck came to pick up all the glass at 6:00 am!! Woken up like that is not funny at all. No view of the harbour, as another building was in front.

A little tired - a Hotel with staff that believe it is more than it actually is.....
“Very good - would go again”
Excellent service, friendly receptionist, restaurant really good (although portion sizes were just too big!). Good room , beds comfortable. Only disappointment was quality of bathroom consumables - shampoo, shower gel and most important - the toilet roll
“Pleasant hotel”
The room was spacious and clean. I had a traditional room, so no stocked minibar, though there was a small fridge in the room. The quality of the food was good, though like most places room service prices were steep. The car parking charge is cheeky.

In verband met werkzaamheden in Southampton heb ik nu 3x verbleven in dit mooie en bijzonder nette hotel. Het personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en bij mijn 3e bezoek werd bij inchecken een welkomstdrankje in de hotelbar aangeboden. De kamers zijn licht, ruim en comfortabel en er wordt goed schoongemaakt. Het restaurant biedt een uitstekende kwaliteit en ruime keuze. De totale prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is als uitstekend aan te merken.
“Einfach mal nen Eimer Farbe in die Hand nehmen”
Der Srevice im Hotel war Gut, auch das Essen und das Personal war hervorragend. Abzüge gibt es für : - Keine Klimaaanlage - Minibar wird erst auf Wunsch gefüllt - Teilweise durch Kondenswasser Bedingter Rost und Putzerhebungen im Schwimmbad, die einfach nicht beseitigt werden, obwohl es sehr wenig aufwand ist - schade. - Die Zimmer Sind sehr alt, und müssten erneuert werden. - Zimmer mit Meerblick lohnt sich nicht. Zumindest nicht in dem in dem ich war. Ebenso zieht man sich wenn man nicht aufpasst an Kanten im Jacuzzi die durch fehlende Mosaik Steine verursacht werden ordentliche Kratzer. Die Lage ist top.
